WAT.

Oh, nevermind. Booth review.

2009-01-18 04:28:22 PM
That was almost an amazing catch.

nicksteel: Pastor of Muppets: liquid duane-o: FreakinB: I hate the idea of a certain type of play not being reviewable. Why even have replay then if you can't use it in all situations?

because players are taught that when the whistle blows, you STOP PLAYING. thus, when the play is blown dead, even when it shouldn't be (as it was here) you can't count anything that happens AFTER that whistle.

This is why refs shouldn't immediately blow the whistle on plays where there is a possible change of possession. Refs get antsy, calls get missed.

How many minutes should they wait after each play????

Who said a anything about waiting 'minutes'... More like waiting to see how the play develops. Mere seconds would do it.

Damn it that was trapped. Live action, it was incredible, though.

okay, no catch. NOT quite over.

Haha, I see what you did there. Nice.

DamnYankees: hulk hogan meat shoes: I long for the day when they rescind this replay garbage. It farks up the game too much and makes it longer without adding anything of value. They played for decades without instant replay, I think we're better off without it.

You should right that on your papyrus and send it off to the Pony Express.

You should go back to freshman English class.

Trapped it on the ground.... That'll be coming back.

Sort of like how I'm almost an amazing sexual partner.

After review, it's ruled a catch to totally make up for that kickoff earlier.

Booth Review = Free Timeout

/would of been a sweet play though

i don't disagree with that, i was just explaining WHY there are non-challengable plays. i'm an eagles fan, and that should have been the cards ball. none the less, the refs farked up the call, and current rules say when the whistle blows, there is nothing you can do about it.

the eagles REALLY aren't making the big plays today. that should have been a pick right there.

maybe they'll call it an unreviewable play

peachpicker: Looks like Warner is locking in his spot in Canton with this game.

If he wins a second superbowl with a second team then he is going to Canton. But just making it to the superbowl with the Cardinals might not be enough.

Geez, Eagles can't get a break at all.

Wait, looks like they got a break after all.

Still, this is beginning to feel like the Eagles/Cowboys game a couple weeks ago.

I agree with you. If the Cardinals score 7 before halftime, the game- barring the Eagles going bananas in the 2nd half - will be over.

Why is this review taking so long?

Not really.....close, but no.

Making it to the SB on Arizona ought to get the whole freaking team inducted.

They should just call it unreviewable.

2009-01-18 04:31:17 PM
the problem is, if the Cards finish off the Eagles, they're going to face the best defense they've seen all year ( whether it be the Ravens or the Steelers ) and simply won't be able to rely on Warner to Bolden or Fitz. Their running game has suffered all year against some pretty weak defenses...and they'll be destroyed be either of those 2 AFC teams...

Free timeout AND 10 seconds. Nice.

There's no Ravens in that one. Damn.

OK, will try Tecmo. Will report back.

A blitz on 3rd and 15... Why?

2009-01-18 04:33:21 PM
Just a note to everybody... Cardinals are the best 3rd quarter team in the league. Outscoring opponents by a ton in the 3rd quarter.
