My team is superior to yours, and today, your team will be crushed like a clam on an otter's tummy.

Predictions:

Phi over AZ - 31-20 (although I'm actually rooting for the Cards)
Bal over Pit - 13-7

Last night a TFer put Ravens and Steelers head-to-head on his PS2, here's what he got:

Final Score:

Ravens: 45

Steelers 24

Passing:

Joe Flacco: 12-32, 134 yds. 2 TD, 3 INT.

Ben Roethlisberger: 25-55, 330 yds. 1 TD, 6 INT (3 of them come back for touchdowns).

Rushing:

Willis McGahee: 48 att. 181 yds. 1 TD.

Willie Parker: 42 att. 89 yds. 1 TD.

Receiving:

Derrick Mason: 4 rec. 66 yds. 1 TD.

Hines Ward: 11 rec. 163 yds. 1 TD.

I've always been curious if these simulations are any good. I don't think I'd call my bookie based on their outcome.

FYI, found this Eagles/Cards Madden 09 simulation:

NFC Championship Game Highlights - Eagles vs Cardinals - Simulated in Madden (pops)
The winner of the NFC Championship football game between the visiting Philadelphia Eagles and the Arizona Cardinals will represent the NFC in the Super Bowl. In this simulation by Madden 09, the game goes into overtime as both Donovan McNabb and Kurt Warner lead their high powered offenses into a game that saw multiple lead changes and was forced into overtime in the last second.

32-29 Cardinals.

Steelers 24

Hahahahahahahahah

Right there? That's how you can tell it's not accurate. The over/under is 34 and I'm leaning towards the under.

I'd like to see a Steelers/Eagles game, just to watch that state tear itself apart.

/Steelers fans FTW, only because Philly fans, IME, are a bunch of toothless morons. YMMV

May your hand reach all your enemies,
May your right hand reach your foes!
Make them burn as though in a fiery furnace, when you appear.
May the LORD consume them in his anger;
Let fire devour them.
Destroy their fruit from the earth and their posterity from among men.
Though they intend evil against you,
Devising plots, they cannot succeed,
For you shall put them to flight;
You shall aim your shafts against them.
Be extolled, O LORD, in your strength!
We will sing, chant the praise of your might.

Hey national media; when did Philly become the farking hell 2007 Patriots? granted the cardinals had some bad losses but I kinda recall the 9-6-1 Eagles needing 70 minutes to tie the mighty Cincinnati Bengals, who finished with 4 wins.

And if you look at the QBs Phila faced this year, it is no murder's row. Granted, Arizona faced some of the same mediocre/subpar/rookies (JT O sullivan, Ken Dorsey, Matt Ryan (ROY), Mark Bulger, Seneca Wallace), but....we've also got a potential HOFer under center. Kurt knows the speed of an NFL blitz and how to pick it up.

and no one is talking about how much of a factor Arizona playing at home is. ATL's Mike Smith, on Atlanta's loss to Arizona in the first round:

"I know we struggled with the crowd noise against the Cardinals defensive line. They beat us off the ball consistently, and we were shocked at the environment they had going in that stadium for our wild-card game. We played in both the Superdome and the Metrodome this season, and they're known as two of the noisiest places in the NFL. But with that roof closed in Arizona, it wasn't even close. They were rocking from the opening kickoff, and that noise could be a factor in this game as well." (From Monday or Tuesday, CNNSI's NFL column).

I love the matchup.

I also think Big Ben gets his bell rung. Arizona and Baltimore in the Super Bowl.

No way, the rich people in my city did a much better job of paying people millions of dollars to play a game than the rich people in your city.

I do like the Cards over the Eagles. However with the Atlanta game you must take into account the multiple reports that Matty Ice did not change his snap count for the entire game. Reportedly the Cards had a huge advantage getting off the line due to this.
