If I had the spare loot, you're damn straight I'd buy it. Robocop blew my mind when I saw it as a young'un, and I had some great memories from that time of my life.

Although whoever buys it better not violate the TOS, or they'll be... TROUBLE.

From IMDB
The Desert Eagle Magnum that is in the OCP Board Room was originally intended to be Robocop's gun. There is even existing behind-the-scene photos and footage of Peter Weller practicing with the Desert Eagle. However, when they gave Weller the gun, they noticed that even the bulky Desert Eagle was too small in the hands of Robocop. So the film's armory supervisor, Randy E. Moore, brought in a Berretta Automatic Pistol to which a compensator and decorative dressing was added to increase the size of the gun.

And also reveals that:
RoboCop's gun, referred to in the script as an Auto-9, was a modified Beretta M93R: The barrel was extended and modified to resemble a casket. The weapon has two fire modes, semi-automatic and three-round burst, the latter giving it its reference name, because when bursts are fired in quick succession the weapon seems automatic, though M93Rs are not automatic.

An almost fully auto gun that never needs reloading is a steal at $1494.

No, he's thinking about that guy that was in that unjustly short-lived scifi series, Odyssey 5.

I always assumed it reloaded automatically in this leg. But thinking back, that probably wouldn't have worked for the drug lab scene.

Even cooler than the gun was the come-out-of-the-leg holster.

Super cool. If that dick Hans from Die Hard had RoboCop at gunpoint on the balcony at the end of the movie, then John McClain wouldn't have had to tape the gun to his back.

Yep.

Sony Exec (1999): Hey, remember RoboCop?

I think I'd rather just get an airsoft version.

No love for the Cobra Assault Cannon?

The Cobra looks very much like the original Barrett M82 "light fifty". M82A1-A3 has a modified housing, barrel and nozzle.

So I'd say it's not too fictional. You can have one.

ErikShocker: The gun also reminds me of the Magsec 4 from Perfect Dark. So many fun days with that game.

Inaccurate as hell in burst mode, but high-speed death doubled up in a pistols-only match. I'd rather a Psychosis Gun, though.

bingo the psych-o: Mateba 6 Unica

Thanks for cluing me in to the name of that gun. I'd seen pictures of one before and I thought it looked really cool, but I had no idea what it was called, so I couldn't find out any more information about it.

Of course, now that I have I wish I hadn't. A semi-auto revolver? That's a strong contender for the dumbest thing I've ever heard.

It pretty much is a Barrett. Of course, Han Solo's gun was a C96 Mauser pistol (turn of the century German semi-automatic pistol). The Imperial blasters were Sterling sub-machine guns and the big ones were either MG-34s or MG-42s (all fancied up of course).

Hell, the pulse rifles from Aliens are pretty much just a Thompson sub-machine gun with a Remington 870 underneath (again, all fancied up).

Now, Robocop's Auto 9 is just plain awesome, but it's a modified Beretta M93 (which I think shows up in the movie Face-Off, if I remember correctly).

/gun nerd

You've got your John Woo-badguys-played-by-John Travolta mixed up. The gun in Face/Off was the Stechkin APS. His character in Broken Arrow was the one who used a 93R.

/also a gun nerd
