The writer of that article is obviously working for Israel or the US. Classic Disinformation.

Who cares what group he/she is really talking about, the obfuscation should be all that you focus on.

It pokes fun at Barack Obama's deepest sincere lifelong beliefs. Which, I'm pretty sure will cause most liberals to consider it a troll. :-)

assuming that the HAARP array doesn't split the earth in half

I haven't heard this one before. The abilities of HAARP, according to the Tinfoil Hat Brigade that I've heard are:

1. Mind control device (not a good one evidently or they'd make you forget this)
2. Causes birds to fly backwards (aerodynamics be damned) and caribou to walk backwards - must be true they have film!
3. Operation of HAARP in AK causes weather changes in AZ.
4. (my favorite) HAARP has been moved to the east coast and 2 other similar installations created. When they all operate it causes a rift in time-space, and dinosaurs have gotten through and are now roaming New Jersey.

All beliefs that sprang from the fertile minds (ie full of shiat) of USA citizens.

I'm amazed that poorly written excuse for an article was greenlit. No reasonable sources or statistics are cited to support these sweeping generalisations and it seems the article is making a concerted effort to paint all Muslims as ignorant goat herders.

/Oh - and has anyone else noticed that articles using the spelling "Moslem" are almost always anti-Islamic? It seems trivial but I'm definitely seeing some sort of weird trend.

No, they are killing each other. They don't fight Americans. They prefer to target schools, cafes, hotels, police stations, Shiite holy places, private homes and crowded shopping bazaars.

Why? Because they are cowards.

Because the news distributed by officially (US) sanctioned reporters is a totally unbiased, wholly representative commentary of events.

Sorry bud.... International press says the same thing. The insurgents rarely fight Americans directly. Everytime they come out to play we spank'em... hard. Now they know we play to rough and they fight us indirectly, through all of the ways discussed above.

Inshallah is common to Christianity too. They just calls it "God's will" instead of the same thing translated into Arabic.

Wow that was a sad, sad article.

Yeah, it IS a sad article but 'inshallah' is not the same as 'God's will'.

Inshallah means that they dont really have to do anything because 'Allah' will do what he wants regardless of peoples' efforts or beliefs.

Now, Im not saying that there arent some Christians that feel this way, specifically Christian Scientists, but 'Inshallah' is part of the fundamental outlook or Islam and the Mid-East, not a tenet of a minor branch of the religion.

Samsaran: CurvedGirdle: Because the news distributed by officially (US) sanctioned reporters is a totally unbiased, wholly representative commentary of events

I see. So, it is a conspiracy. In reality the insurgents are mounting large scale tank and infantry attacks against the entrenched American forces and winning and it is only because of our lack of a free press and the suppression of this information by unnamed evil forces that we don't know this.

Man, I hope you upgrade your tinfoil to industrial grade lead foil. Because the crazy rays are still penetrating.

Suggesting there might be a bias is not the same as saying there's a conspiracy. If one were not so pre-occupied with simplistic black-or-white outlooks on things, there would be room for critically looking at the role of reporting.

If we're looking at only the current conflict, there has been discussion about how the press covered the reasons for the lead-up to the war. I also remember some discussion about the efficacy of 'embedded' journalists. This is hardly crack-pot type stuff here.

Article about Middle Eastern beliefs - "Bu...bu...but Americans believe..."

Article about European economy - "Bu...bu...but the U.S economy is..."

Article about Chinese manufacturing - "Bu...bu...but U.S manufacturing is..."

Some people are just absolutely obsessed with the United States and seem completely unable to discuss any other topic whatsoever. It's genuinely weird. It's as if they believe no other nation warrants any discussion at all.

I'm not sure if it's caused by fanatical nationalism, or simple ignorance. Perhaps a combination of both.

I spoke with a Special Forces officer once and he told some stories of his time in central Asia and Africa, where lots of the warlords and tribal leaders (and therefore all of their underlings too) still think that guns work by making a loud boom that kills magically from a distance. He said trying to teach the physics of guns and bullets and F=MA and bullets traveling in shallow arcs etc to them was virtually impossible, and more than once a tribal leader, trying to prove to their soldiers that they knew what they were doing, shot themselves in their face when looking down the barrel of their AK.

He said you learn to just sigh, shake your head, and move on and try to teach the next warlord.

Ishidan:
Makes you wonder how much their god must hate it.
Mohammed: "Oh me. I've got a bunch of mumbling idiots that keep expecting ME to fix all their problems. Or at least THIS crop does. I don't know what the hell I did wrong, I remember back in the day. They worked out mathematics, they built beautiful and complex mosques and mahals, they cranked out thousands of copies of the Bible-all the parts. Some of them follow in the tradition, don't think I don't notice the skyscrapers in the desert. That took some serious thought and responsibility. But THIS shiat? What did I do WRONG with these assholes, all they seem to be able to do is buy the cheapest Russian made crap they can lay their hands on, and mumble for my help when it breaks down."
Jesus: "Been there, done that."
Mohammed: "What?"
Jesus: "What, you never heard of the Christian Dark Ages? The Inquisition? Of course, you poor bastard, I got the age of sword, crossbow, and catapult. You got the age of assault rifle and Semtex."
Pops: "You two boys arguing over which of your followers have gotten more out of control, again? Hell. It seems like the only thing both your followers can agree with is that the people that follow your old man directly are idiots."
Jesus: Yeah, well, I never made my followers mutilate their dicks, pop. Seriously. What was with the dick fascination, you couldn't have come up with a tattoo, or something?
Mohammed: HEY! At least my followers don't try to memorialize me as eternally in the greatest pain of my life.
Jesus: Oh yeah, yeah, that's because they aren't allowed to draw or sculpt images of you at all. And pops, what's with the name thing you got going on?
Pops: Oh shut up, already.

Did you write that yourself? Because that was farking BRILLIANT! +1 for you, Sir.

Well, my TOE still reflects WWII when it states that my type of unit will operate in secure rear areas. The company which operates as three separate platoons (most likely in different geographic areas) is only assigned one M2 and one Mk19 which both belong to the HQ section.

Considering that the article discusses, essentially, in both tone and content, how stooopid the indigenous "Moslems" are compared to US troops, I would hope that such obsessions are acceptable in this instance.

Haven't met an Iraqi in the past two years who believes the sunglasses thing anymore.
