The Internet™ will be open on Christmas Day?

Wow, I thought it was just 7-11 and homeless shelters.

Not in Canada it won't, freak. It's all socialized and stuff up there.

Someone told me that I need to get a converter box for my modem because the internet will be broadcasting on a different frequency, though? Anyone know where I can find one of those?

Get one of these...

Then you can pick up all the internets.

I don't know about you but I'll be fightin' the MAN and logging into WoW after dinner tonight AND after gift-opening tomorrow.

I'll put a little sprig of mistletoe above my monitor and log on to Fark. That way, I'll have to kiss* users when their names appear on the screen.

This sounds like a spectacular idea and I shall do it tomorrow.

I'll twitter while I open my presents.

I will have to log on to wish you all a Merry Farking Christmas.

The wife's out of town so I'll probably play my favorite video games until 3 a.m. or so, then wake up tomorrow around noon and keep playing games.

Dude, I'm with you. The wife is going to her parent's house in another state tonight without me because I have to work; I will be home alone from Xmas until Sunday.

I think I am going to do the aforementioned video gaming as well. And I'll probably do some experimenting on the home recording setup that I spent the last year building but not using. Three whole days - I think I might enjoy this. My Mom's place is only a 20-minute drive away, so I'm sure I'll squeeze in at least a little family time, at least.

And yeah, I'm sure I'll end up here, too.

I'll be on the interwebs tomorrow because I have no family in town to celebrate Christmas with.

Of course I'll be on the internets tomorrow.

The Doctor Who special isn't going to download all by itself, now is it?

Oh its christmas tomorrow? Cool.

"log on"?

Anyone with cable can tell you, their interwebs is always "logged on."

2008-12-24 03:36:44 PM
I'm hopefully getting a new interweb tomorrow. I might have time to set it up tomorrow night, we'll see. Hopefully it runs on my computer.

Uh, don't you typically have to marry a Jew to become Jewish? Not a religion that really accepts converts, iirc.

Doubtful. Zarkin's mom passed away a couple days ago, so I'm guessing elf pictures aren't going to be her primary concern.

Normally I wouldn't be on until much later, but I got a nasty cold so I'm stuck home while the wife goes to visit family. Yay for getting sick on Christmas.

2/3 of all people?

According to the US Census bureau, the total population of the world is: 6,749,277,240

2/3 of this is: 4,499,518,160.

I highly doubt four and a half billion people acutally have the ability to get on the internet at all, let alone in a given day.

Typical western behavior, the scope of existence lies entirely within the north-west hemisphere or specifically the US itself.

/extra fail as this is a British article talking about the figures for the UK :P
