I was amused. I still thoroughly enjoy Anchorman.

I always thought it was "The man *punted* Baxter", not *punished*.

Thosw: I always thought it was "The man *punted* Baxter", not *punished*.

"Punted" is the line, you're right, clip is wrong.

Ha, I liked it!

That was pretty cool, very inventive, I like how the "let me say something" words constructed a house at the end.

/too many whiners in here today

Kinetic typography is lame, I don't care how much effort goes into it.

2008-12-24 10:55:36 AM
people who make this crap should create something tangible instead, build yourself a birdhouse or something...

2008-12-24 11:04:23 AM
How does this shiat get greenlit??

I like kinetic typography, although this one admittedly wasn't my favorite.

This one (new window) is probably my favorite.

Not hating here, I just don't see any purpose in gee-whiz ways of flashing words. At least not these days.

//did this over 20 years ago syncing music to a commodore Vic 20 (had to use cassette drive to load in 2nd half of song "lyrics").

Do you really think it's a good idea to give these people the implements to make a birdhouse?

/Thought Anchorman was a great movie. I'm just sick of it being run into the ground.

Now, I know nothing about this type of thing, but I immediately thought subby's one was amateurish, visually untied to the dialouge and pretty mediocre. Watching that one right after was night and day, stylish, funny and quite entertaining.

2 cents

I hate both Anchorman and now kinetic typography. Thanks.

Nice kinetic typography.
A little busy and could use some more varied styles, but he did some cool things and I bet it was a lot of work.

Sound quality was awful, though.

It's a scientifically proven fact: If you don't like kinetic typography you're probably retarded.

I just finished a kinetic typography project for an electronic imaging course last semester, so I'm getting a kick out of these replies.....

I did mine on the Alec Baldwin "pep talk" speech from "Glengarry Glenn Ross. I had to create it in Flash though, while this one is maybe in After Effects, not sure though. It was a good skill to learn I guess, but if I never have to do it again I'll be completely content. I put in countless hours making typography for a 3 minute dialogue. It was pretty tedious to say the least.

There are at least 10 people in here whining and complaining about hating kinetic typography. Was there some confusion in your little minds when you say KINETIC TYPOGRAPHY in the headline?

Glass CASE of emotion, damnit. At least get it right.
