No i will not tell you a little bit about myself

2003-01-17 05:21:16 PM
I like how the authoer equates building multi-million dollar useless projects with tax breaks.

2003-01-17 07:38:27 PM
Why do dumb articles like this make it to fark??

2003-01-17 07:40:01 PM
Everybody is jealous of the new messiah!1

2003-01-17 07:40:05 PM
I'm just glad we don't have Nader leading the war on terrorism. What a freakin sissy fight that would be.

2003-01-17 07:40:39 PM
...just like most Hip-Hop musicians.

2003-01-17 07:41:27 PM
Wow. I, like, totally lost interest by the third paragraph.

2003-01-17 07:41:48 PM
Ahhh.... you can call that the Mayberry Machiavellis effect

JocksAreSuXoRz, because we are cheap-bastard farkers. $5 a month makes you a better person, check out Totalfark.

2003-01-17 07:50:17 PM
The article is boring, but the last paragraph definately makes it worth it.

2003-01-17 07:51:36 PM
I don't recall Kinsley biatching about all the exclusions, exceptions, favors, grants, handouts, givebacks, takeaways, shakedowns, and general mind-bending complexity in the tax code up to now. How come it only becomes bad when W's plan has that crap.

The answer to this is obvious: throw the entire tax code overboard and start over with a flat tax. I won't be holding my breath until Kinsley comes out in favor of that one, however.

And what's so bad that Bush uses other people's ideas? Only a megalomaniac would seek to be the source and the light for everything that happens in an organization. If you're an effective executive, you surround yourself with good people and listen to them. What a concept.

2003-01-17 07:52:13 PM
This should be the best flame war we have had in a while. Love when the article is anti bush, all the reppies find it "boring" and not worth reading.

2003-01-17 07:52:27 PM
Well Ronin, you tried. It seems flames just arent's burning like they used to today. hmm, fark is soaked!

Only a megalomaniac

**Cough** Clinton **Cough**

2003-01-17 07:54:48 PM
If not a flat tax, a clean gradiated one.

2003-01-17 07:55:32 PM
Yet another attempt to start a buch flame war.

2003-01-17 07:56:11 PM
Bush is going to try and throw away taxes, after he and his cronies own the free market it will you be great. No taxes but since you work for and buy from us we have you in our pocket. 1 million for me, $1 for you etc, et al.

2003-01-17 07:57:15 PM
then again, how many of you choose to vote for that moron and compromise 4 years just to get that $300 tax check ?

2003-01-17 07:58:19 PM
People people people. Try to lay off the tranks when you're posting.

2003-01-17 07:58:29 PM
I didn't read the article- it would be too much of a let down after giggling at the headline.

2003-01-17 08:01:40 PM
Gee, are Ann Coulter rants going to be posted for balance now?

2003-01-17 08:04:27 PM
Bashturn
then again, how many of you choose to vote for that moron and compromise 4 years just to get that $300 tax check ?

ohh, ohh i can answer that! Less than the amount of people who voted for Gore?

2003-01-17 08:04:43 PM
Danlbrau : The article had no mention of Hillary, muslims and/or guns , therefore Ann Coulter lovers have no interests in it.

Besides, it involves a minimum of concentration.

2003-01-17 08:05:14 PM
Seperated at birth?

2003-01-17 08:05:15 PM
The trick is getting Dubya an idea he can halfway understand.

2003-01-17 08:05:46 PM
"it will you be great" = it will be great

oops

2003-01-17 08:12:13 PM
That was amusing. To sum up for those people who can not read more than 100 words before nodding off the article says: "The tax cut, according to the theories of must conservative economists, will do nothing... not that this is going to deter Bush because it helps out his buddies in the long run."

2003-01-17 08:13:01 PM
Myworld : That is a statistical given, dont you think ?

2003-01-17 08:13:53 PM
Hello, time to wake up, the $300 ADVANCE on your tax return was already in place before Bush took office.

If you are going to slam Bush (and I LOVE to slam bush ;) at least do it intelligently.

Thank you, try again.

2003-01-17 08:14:21 PM
Dumbo_stick,

"Seperated"?

2003-01-17 08:15:51 PM
Midian,

Sorry, the $300 rebate (or advance) was not in place when Bush took office. It was part of his tax plan as passed, although it was a sap to the Democrats who insisted on it in order to get their support.

2003-01-17 08:22:43 PM
Even an Anne Coulter style rant couldn't get these flames buring...

2003-01-17 08:24:17 PM
Midian : How does it feel ?

2003-01-17 08:26:14 PM
Bashturn: Sorry, I'm an amateur smartass who is living in a country where the supreme court enthroned a president. Though as long as alcohol is cheap and plentiful, I'll be a good little sheep.

Baaaaa.

2003-01-17 08:27:44 PM
Grytpype: Great pic.

2003-01-17 08:28:00 PM
Xtremehkr : Perhaps Bush's idiocy is not a cause for debate anymore...?

2003-01-17 08:29:29 PM
Nothing to see here, Bush is a moron, everybody knows it, nothing to see here... don't forget to vote in 2004.

2003-01-17 08:30:00 PM
maybe debate how the tax system could be better? now that we have beaten the fact the Bush is an idiot into the ground.

2003-01-17 08:30:05 PM
Don't blame me for Bush, I voted for "Diamond" Joe Quimby.

2003-01-17 08:30:42 PM
01-17-03 08:28:00 PM Bashturn
Xtremehkr : Perhaps Bush's idiocy is not a cause for debate anymore...?

I think it is pretty much a given on both sides.

2003-01-17 08:31:05 PM
Amazing how people can call a Harvard MBA an idiot while voting for Gore (or more likely Nader).

Gore's grades were worse than Bush's, but let's not let facts get in the way of flaming a guy because we hate his ideas.

2003-01-17 08:31:54 PM
I can't wait for articles on the Dem Candidates to start coming out, there will be good reviews and bad but none will be anywhere near as exciting as the *ahem discussions about them that will go on here.

There should be an early Fark vote to see who the most likely candidate is.

2003-01-17 08:33:26 PM
I hadn't even used "idiot" yet had I? didn't even really try to insinuate it.

2003-01-17 08:36:20 PM
Danlbrau I am not flaming Bush because I do not like his ideas. I am flaming him because his ideas are farking stupid. If Al Gore was in office and came up with the smae tax plan I would be making fun of him as being an idiot right now to.

Oh... and as for him being a Harvard MBA... I have met and woked with over a dozen Harvard MBAs in my time... and not a single one of them has been worth a shiat. Harvard MBAs are about as meaningful as an MCSE or A+ certification.

2003-01-17 08:38:12 PM
Harvard MBA, yes.

How if the FARK did he get past English 101???

2003-01-17 08:39:21 PM
Xtremehkr: go ahead and use "idiot", it's a free country you know.
(looks around nervously for hidden camera)

2003-01-17 08:41:43 PM
Okay, seriously...we are at this level right here:

But we should be right about here:

2003-01-17 08:43:08 PM
how do you get better grades than Al Gore while barely being able to speak english, Daddy's little secret...

my fingers are tired of typing that word, two years and I am just worn out on beating that dead horse. "Batshiat Crazy" and future refernces to Rumsfeld are here to stay for a while tho
