Star Wars The Musical will be downright award worthy in comparison.

No? Ok, I'll say what I said the last time this story got a greenlight. It'swaaaaaay past officially too much Star Wars. Seriously. You all have to stop it while there is still time.

Hope U2 sues infringement of intellectual property.

could be worse... star wars on ice

it was just a couple of good movies to begin with

2008-12-22 09:00:31 PM
To be fair, I could actually see a great, gritty stage play coming from star wars. there's a lot of inner turmoil and emotional struggle that would do well on stage, and would be clipped from any hollywood production.

That being said, someone please kill George Lucas.

George Lucas has signed off on Star Wars: A Musical Journey, a two-hour live musical event featuring a Stormtrooper kick line and singing Wookiees John Williams' Oscar-winning score.

How could this be bad?

I call shenanigans on the Stormtrooper kickline and the singing Wookies. I think the author is having a little fun there.

In theory, an orchestral performance of the scores from the six films conducted by John Williams would be downright awesome. Throw in some film clips? Fine. But any other embellishments would make it ridiculous.

Rattle and Hum is the musical equivalent of The Star Wars Holiday Special.

/just saw it 2 days ago for the first time

Lucas just can't help himself, can he? Does he have a checklist of the performance mediums that have not had, ahem, penetration by Star Wars and he's just trying to complete the list before he dies?

From the thread from two weeks ago:

When I was younger, just an emo little kid
My mentor noticed funny things I did
Like killing droids with a lightsaber
I'd slaughter sandpeople in anger
I'd find a general and cut of his head
That's when my mentor said
(What did he say?)

He said, "My boy, I think someday
You'll find a way to make your natural tendencies pay

You'll be a sith lord
You have a talent for causing things pain
Son, be a sith lord
People will love you for being inhumane
Your temperament's wrong for the jedi
And outcast would suit you still less
Son, be a sith lord
You'll be a success
