Few more years they will be naked.

Am I the only one in the US of A who hasn't seen this thing? Anyone got a link?
2003-01-16 08:48:34 AM
crap, third
2003-01-16 08:48:40 AM
To satisfy the ladies, a similar commercial is being filmed featuring men.

Of course, since it's Miller Lite the men will be Bubba Smith and Bob Eucker.
2003-01-16 08:48:42 AM
Best Commercial Ever!
2003-01-16 08:48:58 AM
Was that a beer commercial? I didnt notice.
2003-01-16 08:49:30 AM
Makes me wanna get drunk and have a threesome....except, I can only afford the beer.
2003-01-16 08:49:56 AM
2003-01-16 08:50:57 AM
My kids think I like that commercial because of its "neato Kung Fu action"
2003-01-16 08:51:12 AM
Best Commercial Ever. Shouldn't this have had a "boobies" tag? :)
2003-01-16 08:52:13 AM
Damn straight. That's good television.
2003-01-16 08:52:47 AM
My only complaint about recent commercials is the one where the guy says "Me likey" and shows up in the blonde wig and a French maid's outfit.

Why didn't they show his girlfriend a little longer in her outfit? Dang!
2003-01-16 08:53:57 AM
From the article: It has no real message, except: All men are idiots, and all they think about are girls mud-wrestling.

don't forget the making out part.

This shouldn't surprise anyone. Men have always been this was and we'll still be this way many millennia hence. There's little point in trying to suppress it. Maybe a better strategy is to be more open about the differences between and women. We aren't the same. We think about things differently. Just accept that and don't expect us (men) to tiptoe around it to avoid offending. For our part, we promise not to get offended by the typical female fantasies either - there are at least as many of them in TV commercials as there are gratuitous beer ads.

A new "tastes great, less filling" commercial for Miller Lite beer that shows a poolside argument that develops into a clothes-shredding, mud-wrestling match between two women who end up in bras and panties is drawing complaints

[Jon Stewart]
Biggest complaint: commercial isn't long enough.

Remind me to never become a 40 year old woman with a family.
2003-01-16 08:54:50 AM
I personally thought the commercial was stupid...but then again I don't drink beer or objectify women. Oh well.
2003-01-16 08:54:53 AM
I find commercials like this to be disgusting and degrading to women. As men, we need to treat women better than this. In fact, if I was with a woman and this commercial came on, I would make a big fuss about how much I hate it. That way, maybe I could get her to blow me.
2003-01-16 08:55:36 AM
Best commercial, ever.
2003-01-16 08:55:36 AM
Goddamn ridiculous.

We think of women jello wrestling and thongs a lot, too.
2003-01-16 08:55:50 AM
there is 2 versions of this commercial out. At the end of one, one girl says lets make out. The other says less filling I think.
2003-01-16 08:55:56 AM
I typically host Football parties at my house and usually, there are at least two couples and some other women amongst the fellas

--gets eerily quiet when that commercial comes on....
2003-01-16 08:56:07 AM
I have a feeling that they added the guys in the bar scene well after the fact...just to try to keep women from finding the commercial completely offensive.
2003-01-16 08:57:00 AM
Most of the complaints are from over-40 married women with families.

Does this surprise anyone?

I love sites that don't do a better job of protecting video. Easy to download and save, even if it is Quicktime.
2003-01-16 08:57:17 AM
To take a page from George Carlin: I bet most of the broads who dislike that ad are ones that you would not want to screw in the first place.
2003-01-16 08:57:51 AM
Most 40+ year old women are offended by everything.

2003-01-16 08:58:02 AM
Thanks, BottleSpit...

Okay -- cute commercial...

Damn, we're pigs
2003-01-16 08:59:17 AM
they should have a tag-team match with the twins from the other beer commercial........excellent.
2003-01-16 09:00:02 AM
tv: "Paultucket Patriot... drink it and women will have hot sex in your backyard."

lois: What a typical male fantasy. Imagine, women drinking beer! It's obvious that commercial was made by a man.

peter: Of course it was made by a man. It's not a delicious turkey dinner, is it?
2003-01-16 09:00:23 AM
Why can't women just accept the fact that men are dogs?
2003-01-16 09:01:22 AM
All men are idiots, and all they think about are girls mud-wrestling.

She makes this sound like a negative thing.
2003-01-16 09:01:48 AM
Meeeooowwwr...Break out the saucers of milk.
2003-01-16 09:02:14 AM
As opposed to what? Coors lite football ads?

"And those twiiiiins!"

I think people will oppose commercials just to cause a fuss. They shouldn't be watching them if they don't like them (that's why my TV gets more than one channel, so I don't have to watch any commercials if I don't want to)

2003-01-16 09:02:56 AM
Wi99um..."I personally thought the commercial was stupid...but then again I don't drink beer or objectify women. Oh well."

Well heres an Phil Donahue Award just for you you sensitive guy you.

(picture a Phil Donahue statue here-I don't photoshop, so use you imagination...I would picture him handing his balls to marla...)
2003-01-16 09:03:22 AM
I love the commercial. It is a beautiful thing.

I hate the fact that "someone" censored the line at the end "let's make out". Give me a fricken break.
2003-01-16 09:03:32 AM
*sniff* I love that commercial
2003-01-16 09:03:38 AM
Reminds me of Linda Evans and Joan Collins on Dynasty....
2003-01-16 09:04:00 AM
Anyone who finds this commercial offensive need to remember one crucial thing...

It's a farking commercial!!
2003-01-16 09:05:08 AM
Sure, the brunette is hot (The blonde? I never notice blondes), but that asian chick is beautiful.
Love those eyes.
2003-01-16 09:06:08 AM
I bet all the people whining about the commercial didn't like the double-dildo scene in "Requim For A Dream," either.
2003-01-16 09:07:20 AM
So the comercial maybe a little bit sexist.

Look at the target audience..

"But Miller executives say the spot is a hit with its target audience: 21-to-31-year-old beer drinkers."

What percentage of this audience is male and what do you think these people think about most of the time?
2003-01-16 09:08:31 AM
What would you think if it was two guys wrestling then at the end they said, "Let's make out". I bet Miller's typical cutomer would be turned off by that...

I just think it's a stupid commercial. Not funny and stereotypical, but sadly this message board is a cross section of what guys want, and I'm obviously in the minority. So I'll just shut up and let you guys enjoy the commercial.
2003-01-16 09:08:50 AM
Just for fun, I'll argue the other side. Call me what you will.

I remember always sitting down as a family and watching football on Sundays, followed by some Kennedy-style family football out in the yard. Can the NFL be family entertainment if they run ads like this?

I don't find the commercial offensive, but I think there is an argument to be made that it ought not be run on a Sunday afternoon when families are watching football together.
2003-01-16 09:10:04 AM
By the way, I think I also dislike the commercial because it's a commercial and I inherently hate all advertisements. Thank god I don't have to deal with TV here at college.
2003-01-16 09:10:20 AM
NosferaDrew, I haven't recorded the commercial and run it slowly, but I think the asian girl actually has 2 roles. In the plaza near the catfighters is she not a diner seated at a table?

I wouldn't have mentioned it, but since ya like her so much.

Proof is left as an exercise to the reader.
2003-01-16 09:10:35 AM
In my world women have only one purpose.
To pleasure me.
2003-01-16 09:10:58 AM
As the great Carlin once said:
There are two buttons on the TV, one changes the channel and one turns it off.
2003-01-16 09:11:35 AM
here, here Gator8387

mmmm Jen.....

followed by some Kennedy-style family football out in the yard
