As I rained blows upon him, I realized there had to be another way.

My grievance: Bill O'Reilly sucks ass.

There will be many feats of strength.

2008-12-10 03:53:00 PM
Since it's at a government building, can I challenge politicians to feats of strength?

I load up on beans and cabbage rolls the day before - just in case I have to fart my way out of a pin hold.

I've been in that building. It's really beautiful.

A Festivus pole will make it all the better.

Notice there just HAS to be some bunch of shiatheads protesting AGAINST the atheistic display ... they cant just all have a day to do their thing.

I guess it would have to be the governor that one is supposed to wrestle to the floor during the feats of strength. How hard could it be, really:

Clearly a festivus pole is the heathen's attempt to trample on Christians and Christianity. Why do we let them bash christians so horribly by daring to publicly display their beliefs. Don't you know? All public religious displays on private or public ground MUST be Christian (preferably not Catholic), or else it's a sign of aggression against those humble God-fearing Jesus-loving folk.

It's made from aluminum. Very high strength-to-weight ratio.

Okay, so you've got your grievance all scripted. It is good to be prepared.

I had a high school history teacher who had a Festivus pole in his classroom, and one day we had Festivus Day- the airing of grievances, feats of strength, etc. It was awesome.

I was hoping that TFA would address this important point. Certainly anyone going to the trouble of submitting and developing a Festivus display for the state capitol building wouldn't overlook the material as insignificant?

Having not memorized this ep, as I've seen it only once, what other features are important for an accurate Festivus reenactment?

Why am I the only one who read that as Festus pole? Am I that old? Yes, I probably am.

I think more places should do this, it's very "inclusive"

This year, I do believe that (in America at least) the Airing of Grievances was conducted on November 7.

I like Festivus... cuz it's novel and it's not Christmas.

Hey, put a sawbuck on Captian Nemo in the third at Belmont

Sorry, I'm offended by this unique representation of the winter solstice and as a tax payer I demand such symbols that offend me be removed from the public square.

Air your grievances on your own private property and take your poll and shove it up your arse.

Yeah, don't you guys know that Christmas is our time to pay respect to our Godd*mn lord and savior Jesus H. Farking Christ. If the Joos wouldn't have killed Jesus, there'd be no reason for the season.

If I'm correct, by complaining about this, the christians with a stick up their ass*, are in fact participating in the event, yes? As they're airing grievances.

Awesome. =)

*A subset of Christians, as I am certain are many that find this awesome/hysterical. My mom's a devout member of the UCC, but I strongly suspect this would amuse her. Especially given that she finds the FSM amusing enough to have put one of the symbols on the bumper of her car

You guys are forgetting about one of the most important tenets of Festivus. The consumption of large quantities of alcohol.

/Cant wait for the 23rd
