There is a God.

2008-12-05 01:34:12 PM

He got off easy.

2008-12-05 01:34:16 PM
Markie_farkie: You sir have delivered the best line. Kudos to you!

2008-12-05 01:34:19 PM
Either he got off very easy, or that is some piss poor journalism.

Jail and prison are not synonyms.

2008-12-05 01:34:19 PM
Excellent job, subby.

Anyone notice Fred Goldman was in attendance?

2008-12-05 01:34:29 PM
Cheers, subby!

I particularly enjoyed the defense attorney's "Stupidity" argument, e.g. "My client was stupid. He didn't think there was anything illegal about taking guns and muscle up to a room, locking people inside and demanding that property be turned over to him."

He's a brutal thug, Mr. Defense attorney, and we're all safer with him behind bars.

2008-12-05 01:34:32 PM
So very much +1.

2008-12-05 01:34:32 PM
Keep in mind that the guy is 61.
With the life he's led, even 15 years could still be life for him.

2008-12-05 01:34:41 PM
+1 subby, got me giggling.

2008-12-05 01:34:42 PM
Last time an OJ verdict was announced, I was in my high school chemistry class.
Now, I'm sitting at work filing termination paperwork.

How times have changed.

2008-12-05 01:34:50 PM
Best of the headlines submitted.

OJ got lucky, he got off light.

2008-12-05 01:34:51 PM
Too early to predict an epic thread?

2008-12-05 01:34:52 PM
They're gonna run Juice up the middle.

Simulpost!

2008-12-05 01:35:18 PM
Damn, he looked old.

2008-12-05 01:35:20 PM
Judge Jackie Glass told Simpson he knew what he was doing and that his actions were "much more than stupidity".

A judge with a good judgement.

2008-12-05 01:35:24 PM
Finally!

2008-12-05 01:35:29 PM
Cue Fred Goldman haters in 3...2...1...

/cuz God forbid you go after the guy who killed your son.

2008-12-05 01:35:36 PM
Thirteen years to the day from the infamous acquittal.

And some people say there's no God.

/How come we're getting American news off a Limejuicer newspaper? Ain't there no American paper good enough?

2008-12-05 01:35:42 PM
As many people who were referring to him and/or his actions as stupid or ignorant, I'm surprised OJ didn't get all stabby.

2008-12-05 01:35:42 PM
tron.carter: only 15 years? ehh...not bad for killin' 2 people. err...Armed Robbery I meant.

5-to-15 if I understood the judgement right.

Not that the parole panel will be particularly sympathetic, I suspect.

2008-12-05 01:35:55 PM
nice, subby

2008-12-05 01:35:57 PM

15 years? If he gets a sharp attorney, he'll be able to slice that sentence in half on appeal.

Um, I thought the acquittal was in October 1995?

2008-12-05 01:36:13 PM
A jury of his peers found him not guilty of the murders. Putting him away for this minor offense now is really a travesty of justice and just shows how racist people in this country still are. He should get probation at most. Nobody was hurt. I hope Obama pardons him

2008-12-05 01:36:24 PM
Behold, the first headline to make me seriously consider getting a t-shirt....

2008-12-05 01:36:27 PM
"What?!"
"YES!"

"Maybe we should get different roomates."
"Maybe we should...maybe we should...."

2008-12-05 01:36:32 PM
wow, and hey - +1 subby.

2008-12-05 01:36:34 PM
Poor bastard.

2008-12-05 01:36:36 PM
