As a fan of strip clubs, I feel I must comment here no matter how irrelevant.

Every time a strip club closes, I die a little inside.

What will all the college girls do for tuition money?!?!?!

I believe we should start a "house a stripper without a job" program for these tough winter months.

That's hot!

Never seen the big deal with strippers. Most of them have struck me as sleazy hustlers. The equivalent of guys who sell fake weed on the street. People who get lapdances also befuddle me. If you want to blow 50 bucks, you can go to a rub and tug, or for 50 more an actual prostitute and at least get something for your money. Paying to listen to a vapid meth addict? Gee, I'll pass.

Didn't rtfa, of course

I ran a club in ohio in the 90's. We smelled that "something electrical burning" smell. Saw a big breaker box in the kitchen with black smoke seeping out of it. Called the fire dept. Not 911. just straight to the fire dept. I no more than hung up the phone and walked from the back office out to the front and two cop cars came flying in. I would say within 12 minutes I had 7 cop cars and 4 fire trucks from the city and 2 fire trucks from the nearest township plus half a dozen police and fire supervisors in the parking lot. It was right at open for the day/lunch shift. The girls weren't dressed and on the floor yet. They hung out for 20 minutes waiting for the girls to come out of the dressing room before all but two fireman left. The two that stayed waited 15 more minutes and then shut off that circuit at the main breaker box and told me to call and electrician.

One women shook her head and accepted a hug from a male colleague.
"I've never actually seen you in daylight," she told him.

How does she know he works there then? Free Hugs from strippers day?

Standing rule all police and fire get in free any day of the week. Just need to show a badge or ID at the door.............I liked knowing when they were there and which table they were sitting at.

Could be a serial arsonist, all units report to the Dollhouse, Marble Arch, Tattletails, etc. etc.

I may be off here but Maine is a long way from Hollywood. Men will drive long distances to see nice boobies?

I hope the college that accepts tuition in crumpled $1 bills is understanding in these tough economic times and gives the girls a break.

there aren't many strip clubs in Maine. The ones that are there are full of women you definitely could do without seeing nekkid.

okay, I thought it was a line/scene from some lame-ass comedy I never saw. AFAIK, there's just a handful of clubs in Maine. I only know of 3, maybe there's more.

I know, right?

I was expecting a little more from a stripper thread on a Friday.

207 in the hizzy! I'm in South Korea right now though. Anyway, I worked at General Cinema in South Portland for a while, pretty much ran the place. The manager dragged me along to Mark's Showplace once. It wasn't anything to write home about.

/Never went to the topless donut shop though.
//I still miss Maine despite the lack of stripclubs.
