Seems to me that grabbing the thunderstick (seriously people, if you can't make noise by clapping, stomping your feet, and yelling, you don't deserve to attend sporting events...I'm looking at you Rays fans...) and either deflating the thing or returning the "bopping" would probably have sufficed, but I can't really say I have too much sympathy for the "bopper".
