Under the Bush Grand Scheme, Jeb was supposed to be next in line for the White House, well before Georgie.

Jeb still thinks he has a shot. I'm not sure he's convinced how badly the Bush name has been sullied in connection with the presidency.

And for the record, he's regarded as President George W. Bush's equal intellectually, morally, and managerially.

None of them do. It's the cognitive dissonance that is the absolute hallmark of the Bush Administration (*). Never notice being wrong, never acknowledge being wrong, never listen to anyone else, do what you wanna do, be what you wanna be... yeah...

If you want the US economy to crater, elect a Bush to the White House.

In the olden days, such families would have their manors and castles seized by the new ruler and they would be sent into exile.

I'll agree to never vote for a Clinton ever again if the conservatives will agree to never vote for a Bush ever again.

Jeb better not have a hope in hell or I'll lose all faith in there being any good sense left in the US.

They're kinda the Republican answer to the Kennedys; the Bizarro Kennedys, if you will. Which would make Jeb equivalent to Bizarro Robert.

Is the Republican field so barren they have to raid Bab's vag AGAIN?

You guys know that the Bush name doesn't exactly conjure up images of responsible, competent governance, right?

Jeb or George, which one would you rather vote for? And don't say 'neither' because alot more people would freak out if it was George running.

There was a piece in Salon or Huffpo years ago that talked about how Jeb should have won one race, while W lost Texas and shoud have been the heir apparent to the presidency.

Could this be the start of that quest?

I don't think so. George pretty much ruined the Bush name in politics.

Corruption and exploitation of power is exclusive to Republicans at this time. Please wait until the political pendulum has finished swinging before claiming that Democrats are capable of corruption, too. At that point, we will have a "Democratic party is full of corrupt asshats" meme going, and you will be welcomed to join in. However, at that time, you should refrain from pointing out that Republicans can be corrupt.

Thanks for your cooperation.

...this is totally "Death Is Not An Option" Politics-tab style, isn't it? It's like asking me if I'd rather have my nuts taken off with a chainsaw or Hillary Clinton's teeth - OBVIOUSLY, the correct answer is neither.

To be totally honest, I'd probably pull the lever for Jeb before Dubya. But you'd have to run Cynthia McKinney against them to even get me to think about it, and I'd probably end up voting for McCrazy anyway just because of the hair and the fact that I'm pretty sure she'd do something batshiat about once every month or so that'd keep me entertained.

There's small comfort.

Still could be worse.

Barbara Bush.

Niel Bush.

Marvin Bush.

Geo. W. Bush, Jr.

George H.W. Bush

The Twins.

Anybody who would feel at home in Cleveland Amory's The Trouble With Nowadays.

John Hinkley, Jr.

John Hinkley, Sr.

George W.'s "base", in other words.

One of us! One of us! One of us!

Jeb Bush will be elected as our next president in 2016. God picked George Bush to become president in 2000, not the people.

Could be worse. Could be the other Bush brother. Hell, the banking system looks like he was in charge of it anyway.

I have it on good authority that we should not relax, as Jeb was a total a-hole governor.

http://www.xanga.com/Kevin72/672568282/jindalrfk.html Bobby Jindal is sure to be the next Republican president as he is in fact the reincarnation of Bobby Kennedy. He will pick up in 2016 what he was denied in 1968.

It is amazing how we focus on such trivial things when times are good.

Granted I still didn't want hillary to run but the whole Bill clinton debacle was just sort of benign compared to the last 8 years. What's funny is that people still bring up Bill's blowjob scandal as some sort of big deal during the primaries.
