I haven't seen him ruin a movie yet. Raiders 4 was already doomed and he probably gave it a little help, actually. Transformers was good as was Disturbia. Didn't see Eagle Eye, though, so maybe that's what Subby is referring to.

Seems fair. Grisham ruins literature.

I don't get why this kid is so loved by directors. I can stand his lack of acting skills.

You don't need help to ruin anything by Grisham, every "novel" after his second is essentially more of the same. Shia is just poop icing.

Shia not being as bad as I expected was one of the few redeeming parts of Indy 4. Awful, awful movie.

Here's my problem with Indy 4: it felt like it had been made for a theme park. Like it was this milieu of all the best lines and scenes from the first three movies, not really its own original work, some sort of drab medley of what made Indy cool twenty years ago. And of course Galadriel with the over the top accent, look, I don't care, I know the Nazis were over the top but it is just horrible to listen to her speak.

/and the scene where he has to grab a snake in order to get out of the quicksand, blah

That's pretty much the issue, really. It got something like 64% on rottentomatoes simply because it was an Indiana Jones movie. If everything about that movie but the franchise was the same, it would have been panned mercilessly.

The other Indy movies had their wacky silliness, but it was fresh, amusing, and didn't completely insult the audience's intelligence every single scene (vine-swinging, anyone?).

I beg to differ, but I don't think either film was made any worse by his performance.

/Refuse to see Indy 4

Every single scene of his in I Robot could have been done away with, or improved with a cardboard cutout of Charlie the Tuna.

Shia LaBeouf is the kind of actor that people love to hate, but he is actually pretty good. His name alone turns people off, and when I was younger I would have wanted to beat his ass just because of that alone.

But now I am older and more mature, and the hate I would have had for such people (the same ones usually dissed on Fark) has dissipated

As a side note - if you are the kind of person who actually saw Indy4 - then your opinion is worthless. Yeah, I grew up with it too, but I wouldn't have seen that crap if you paid me.

As long as Cate Blanchett is looking into the camera once in a while with those piercing blue eyes, she can use whatever godawful accent she wants.

He made Keanu Reeves look like a good actor.

Cool. I thought they stopped turning Grisham novels into movies.

FTFA: The novel is to be published next month, the entertainment industry trade newspaper said.

They're greenlighting movies now before the book even comes out? WTF?

Athough it is kinda fair, I guess - it's not like we don't know what to expect. Little guy gets manipulated, has to go against the big scary law firm and his most trusted and yet creepy mentor to regain his good name. Blah blah blah blah.

Wow. I guess it's a good thing that I have never seen any of his (Shia's) movies.

Blah blah something has to be good to be ruined, etc.

I'm going to take a wild guess and say that Spielberg is producing this.

/spielberg loves the shia cock (or vice versa)
//where's the market for these lame ass airport reading Grishom novels anyway?

I got the impression they were trying to be as over the top as possible, it would've been nice if in at least one action scene there was something believable

It was ok, in a certain way, I'd post what way that is, but it would be a spoiler.

Kind of an "as close as we will get to an on-screen version of ____________" way. On screen without Hayden Christensen anyway.

Shia played a tough guy who didn't play by the rules in Indy 4. I know this because he rode a motorcycle, wore a leather jacket and carried a knife.

Yeah, Shia LaBeef does suck, but he hasn't ruined any movies.

All those films he was in were terrible even without his help.

Exactly, how can you have a movie called Holes without a single scene with penetration?
