Horatio sees what you did there, subby.

2008-11-24 11:43:21 PM
Wow good for him, and he did it without some drastic stomach banding or stapling move.

and +1 subby. That's funnier than anything SNL will air this season.

2008-11-24 11:43:34 PM
Well, if you do enough coke you will eventually drop some weight.

2008-11-25 12:00:53 AM
Holy crap. He is pretty much unrecognizable now. Good for him.

2008-11-25 12:17:51 AM
Wow, practically hittable. I'm astonished.

"I've been trying to come up with a joke about how I've lost weight and I was going to say, 'I stopped putting nuts in my sundaes.'"

And... still not funny, obviously.

I'm probably the only one who liked him and Fallon together. Good for him!

Good Lord, there's no mental activity there... look at their eyes... it's like they're just empty bodies....

Roook: Does this break some sort of curse?

It might end the Belushi/Farley/fat guys dying curse.

2008-11-25 01:45:59 AM
Pas mal, subby.

The SNL troupe is required to have at least one fat guy. It's a FCC regulation I think.

Pope George Ringo: The SNL troupe is required to have at least one fat guy. It's a FCC regulation I think.

Yeah, but the token happy-go-lucky fat guy has to die from a speedball overdose to keep viewers tuning in.

2008-11-25 05:16:46 AM
As someone trying to get in shape, I'm inspired. Good for him. Maybe he'll start being funny now.

2008-11-25 05:25:21 AM
Might be in the minority here, but I didn't mind Sanz on SNL, as long as they kept him the heck away from Fallon.

2008-11-25 05:56:52 AM

coxinha: Wow, practically hittable. I'm astonished.

Ew. You better hope he gets the extra skin removed before you hit that.

2008-11-25 06:08:57 AM
I thought Sans was hilarious. Not sure why everyone hates on him all the time.

I also can't really recognize him.

RagingLeonard: Well, if you do enough coke you will eventually drop some weight.

Ok, then how do you explain Artie Lang?

Good for him. Its nice to someone make such a huge change in themselves. Also nice to see fark have some semblance of a soul for a change.

2008-11-25 07:04:17 AM
Am I allowed to be attracted to him while still being repulsed by his former self?

2008-11-25 07:33:53 AM

kaylward: Horatio sees what you did there, subby.

Fun fact - Horatio Caine was originally going to be called Horatio Sands, but they changed it because it was too close to "Horatio Sanz."

2008-11-25 07:36:21 AM
He looked funnier when he was fat.

sullyman: Holy crap. He is pretty much unrecognizable now. Good for him.

This. Also..

sure haven't: I thought Sans was hilarious. Not sure why everyone hates on him all the time.

Probably because he broke 99% of the time he was on camera. Otherwise, I thought he was funny too.

2008-11-25 07:51:10 AM
He was tired of eating peanut butter and jellies!

/fat guys are funnier
//fat guys are unhealthy
///good for him
//// slashies are like potato chips, cant stop at just one!

All ass, Horatio.

Nicely done Subby

2008-11-25 08:22:05 AM
Who knew after taking away 100 pounds, you'd find Seth Macfarlane...

2008-11-25 08:34:49 AM
Horatio, a fellow of limited jest, a most excellent fatty.

Yeah, it's taken out of context, and incorrect. Good for him, and good for the subster.

2008-11-25 08:35:43 AM

sure haven't: I thought Sans was hilarious. Not sure why everyone hates on him all the time.

I've been trying to come up with a joke about how I've lost weight and I was going to say, 'I stopped putting nuts in my sundaes.

Anyone remember the Mad TV sketch about Will Sasso not being funny after losing weight?

To be fair he should be more known for his physical comedy. The UCB folks have said he's an ace at this form of comedy. If you see the ASSSSCAT movie his space/time work is excellent.

RodneyToady: I'm probably the only one who liked him and Fallon together. Good for him!

Nope. I liked when they cracked each other up. Of course that never took much. I always thought it was a lot funnier when anyone on the show tried in vain to stifle their laughter.

2008-11-25 09:15:02 AM
Damn. He looks a lot like me, now. I bet I've still got 20lbs on him though.

Wendy's Chili: Anyone remember the Mad TV sketch about Will Sasso not being funny after losing weight?

Consider MadTV was trying to turn Will Sasso into Chris Farley 2, I still think that was a potshot at him.

Sad too, because Sasso is pretty funny.

As for Horatio, WOW. He does not look like how he used to.

2008-11-25 09:28:29 AM
Well this can only help his post-SNL career. After all, look how Joe Piscopo skyrocketed after he put on all that muscle once he left the show.

2008-11-25 09:30:43 AM
You know, I think Gabby might be pissed to see Carlos walking a red carpet without her

No.

Horatio Sanz was funny in Fark's favorite movie, Idiocracy.

2008-11-25 10:15:12 AM
I'll never get the hate for Horatio Sanz. He's not so bad. Hell, people PAY to go see talent-free vomitloads like Russell Brand in movies. Horatio was always giving it away on free TV.

Congrats to him on the weight loss, too.

2008-11-25 10:22:48 AM
Farley and Belushi were scared to clean up and lose weight because they were afraid they were going to lose their identity as the "fat funny guy".

Horatio had nothing to lose but the weight.

2008-11-25 10:27:39 AM
He looks like a healthy Kevin Smith

2008-11-25 10:29:36 AM
I gotta say he looks good, a lot better than the horror to the eye that Star Jones became after her weight loss.

Farley especially made a career out of making fat = funny.

Then again, Sanz hasn't had much of a career since leaving SNL. At least not like Farley or Belushi did.

On the other hand, I'm happy for him. I'm also happy to see that he has lost the weight by eating right and exercising compared to the latest fad diet that all of the Hollywood stars are on. Too bad he's not popular enough for more people to hear about this. Instead they'll keep doing whatever Rachel Ray or Oprah is doing.

/also trying to cut some weight
//eating right and trying to exercise more
///has the eating better part down... working on the exercise...

Not all humour has to based on word play. Someone's personality can be the only funny thing they need. Sans's appeal is his personality and his delivery. I found Sans funny on SNL. No, that quote isn't funny, but who cares? It was an interview, not a stand up routine.

Oh wait, it's not cool to enjoy anything on TV or in pop culture. Any obscure underground comedians I should be made aware of who really know how to make people laugh? You probably think Louis CK is too mainstream now.

GBTW jackass.

2008-11-25 10:52:28 AM
Wow good for him, and he did it without some drastic stomach banding or stapling move.

It is amazing how many people need surgery in order to not shove food in their face 24-7. Self control is not an option.

2008-11-25 11:13:26 AM
Here's my two cents on Sanz: I felt he had a tremendous amount of potential on SNL, but ended up playing second fiddle in a lot of sketches (Gobi in that neverf*ckingending Jarrett sketch, Rick, the spazz-girl's stepdad, Ferecito's guitar-playing sidekick). Don't know if that was his fault or SNL's, but there it is.

The few lead roles he had were terrific--slutty-sexy-Carol, Aaron Neville, the x-rated cartoonist.
