Also, when they're old. Arthritis, general joint pain, etc. Think of them like diapers on humans...i.e., they're not just for babies.

Yeah, agreed. I'm new to the sport (only riding since August) and even I've seen leg-wraps before. I think convenience is the only up side to this. But I have to say the guy's heart is in the right place.
