I'm not one to defend the Cowboys, but I'm not sure how they are behind the Redskins at this point.

They just won in DC two days ago, have the same record, and the Redskins have lost two games in a row, both at home.

The Redskins only wins in the last five games are close calls against the Browns and Lions (combined record: 4-16).

They should move my Panthers down a notch until they beat a quality opponent. I doubt the Bucs or Steelers would have let the Lions keep it close for 3 quarters on the road.

Bad news for Lions fans. (do they exist?)

Number of under-.500 teams that they play the rest of the year: 0.

And the only team they play that will probably be not playing for anything playoffs wise by their game are the Saints, unless they go on a streak between now and week 16.

I'd give them a 50/50 shot at 0-16 at this point.

Even good teams play close games against - and, shock, sometimes lose to - bad teams.

Also, I assume if the Titans beat the Jets, and the Lions lose this week we'll hear about it, but, would the Thanksgiving Lions/Titans game be the latest in the year a win-less team played a team with no losses?

I'm not sure. We came close to a week 16 matchup of undefeated/winless last year, but Miami got a last-second win over the Ravens the week before their game against the Patriots.

I know its tough. but It may be time for a nice playoff run. As far as im concerned, Jets are always capable of losing or winning a game. Always. Which is why its so annoying to be a fan of theirs. We have a shot against the titans. Were going to need to shut down the run and intercept Collin twice. But we got a shot. Favre needs to have a nice game since running is going to be tough. Im excited. I want to see what the Jets can do against a quality opponent. Even a close loos would be good for morale, although losing will also bring them back into a tie for first place in the AFC East.

Show up in red, and tell all your friends at the game to do the same. It's time to shame the Eagles organization.

I think that's about where they should be though. Second game I went to this year and it still kinda sucks. Too many empty seats for this team. Way too many Broncos fans. That drop by Roddy was heart breaking. I think everybody just assumed that Ryan was going to go down there and put us in the endzone. Hopefully they can get by the Panthers this week and keep the playoff hunt alive. If they not there's no way they go to the playoffs.

Tough game for them. Not sure If I play warner against the Gmen in FF. The Cards can score, and if they are playing good football they could put up a lot of points against the Giants. But there going to need to play perfect. Or have some lucky turnovers.

I don't see anyone guaranteeing the Colts a playoff spot, but in the current brackets, they'd pick up the number 5 seed. Not only that, but their losses came at the beginning of the season, where Manning was still not in rhythm and they were haunted by injuries. The Colts are getting healthy, and Manning and Addai are playing better each week. I can see them making a wildcard appearance, but are too far behind to catch the Titans.

Honestly im just really bitter about how underproductive Addai has been. Im hoping for a big last 6 weeks for him, with the colts pushing for the playoffs. But up until this weekend, hes been horrendous. I got Braylon Edwards too. The shear fact that im in playoff contention is ludicrous. Having Brees and Warner have hurt me too, since ive managed to play the wrong one nearly 4 or 5 times and lsot as a result.

Look at the rest of their schedule. After the Chargers this week (who own them), they have the Browns, Bengals, and Lions. Then Jacksonville, who can lose to anyone, and the Titans in the last week, who may be resting up starters for the playoffs. They're gonna make the playoffs.

I dont trust the Browns to do anything. They have shown that their defense is capable of losing any game. Any game. Quinn might give them a slight boost. but there still pretty far down the rankings in my book.

thats part of it. I mean their defense hasnt been great. People harp on the Merriman loss, but im not sure even he woudl have saved this season. The only reason I make the playoffs in my league is Mewelde Moore. saved my ass. The most painful things, is with my terrible team im still top 4 in points. I ve lost by an avg of less than 10 points in my 6 losses to, which hurts. Most of the time, playing either Brees instead of Warner or vice versa would have won me the game. I think im trading Brees today though. Which is a welcome exchange. I need something good for him though.

BOOM HEADSHOT

You know, a good way to win games is to outscore your opponent so that when the clock hits triple zero, and you have more points on the board than your opponent, that's a good way to get a win in this league, and you can steal a game at home or on the road if you get more points than the other guy because when the game is over and you have more points, you just won the game, because you had more points than the other guy, and so if you score more points than the other guy and time expires, you won the game, is what you did right there see BOOM

I know they've got issues, but that's a team that could sneak into the Superbowl I think. They've been there before, they've got the QB that can get it done, decent running game, and a D that's suspect, but can still make a stand once in a while at least. I know Pitt and Tenn have good D's, but if Indy can put up 21 on either of them, they've got a decent shot at beating them.

It seems to be all line problems right now - no pass protection on offense, no sack threat on defense. The secondary does well in the beginning of the game but gives up in the late 3rd and the 4th because they're tired (and no fault of their own, they're being left on the field so much). JC has good looks on his progression but hasn't gotten the time (see above, no QB protection) to get the long balls to Moss and the mid balls to Cooley, so a lot of plays are dumped off for short yardage. I really like where his head is at, but his head won't be there much longer if he keeps getting knocked around every pass play.

2008-11-18 04:49:19 PM
Redskins are a bottom 1/3rd team that played above themselves in the first half of the season, they'll quickly fall back to earth now. It's a shame, if they had maybe drafted more than a handfull of linemen in the last 8 years this might not be happening. I spend a godawful amount of money every year on season tickets to watch the same damn thing happen. It's really getting to be a bit much.

Cards fans can keep on smoking that crack. Go on ahead.

They're gonna get splattered this weekend by the Giants.
