Because your browser settings are set to load the site from your cache, not to check for new stuff each time. You need to twiddle whatever browser you're using to look at the site each and every time you point to it, rather than loading it from your HD.

backing up into a fark that is two weeks old (or more) is a cache problem. Delete all temporary internet files (see tools->internet options->general->delete files)

Actually, after a scan of the dbsrv, it was U86 on the mother board that suffered extraneous source of ultra high irradiation. possibly from the beer, but more than like from our buds at the First Brewery Inc.
