How can a death be a shame? If I died and heard one farkin guy say... geez, ole FJ died, ain't it a shame? I'll claw, dig, fight my way out of the ground and stick my corpse like foot up his ass.

Saying a death is a shame is akin to seeing a child do something amazing, then not acknowledge the feat. It's a slap in the face.

Another is this 72 hour thing, if you're just waiting 72 farkin hours out of respect just to make fun. Grow a set and do it now. Disrespect is disrespect no matter how long you wait.

Stupid farkin anal retentive rules. Trying to save face when you're already proving to be an asshole.

I believe the dead should be left in peace. All that they were and were ever going to be is taken. Let them at least have their dignity.

Tyger: They could always hire that dude that played the woman in the Crying Game *cringes*
2001-08-26 02:20:28 AM
Skallas: I had a feeling she already filmed some parts

Yep, thats why they would need someone to look like her for the rest of the scenes she didnt finish. BTW, you can see the dead bodies in blue sacks if you start at picture one here:4?r=/pho to/topic/international
2001-08-26 02:21:13 AM
Fast Jeff: OK, so I'm slow, but why is it so bad for people to say "What a shame"?

I can understand where you're going with the 72hour thing (and I totally agree with you on that) but I don't get the first bit.
2001-08-26 02:22:11 AM
Skallas: oh man that was worse than my fark her dead body comment ;-)

Chick(man) from the Crying Game... Also played the main bad alien in Stargate

"She also had signed on to appear in two sequels to the high-tech thriller "The Matrix."

well, it's not a TOTAL tragedy.... at least we won't have to see the same lackluster performance that we did in 'romeo must die' in sequels to the matrix... (jet li carried the acting in that flick)
2001-08-26 02:32:07 AM
I literally have Romeo Must Die sitting on my coffee table in front of the VCR right now, just rented it yesterday. It's my fault. Was talking about how this girl'd accused me of laying a guilt trip on her when I talked her out of killing herself. I'd said that I would feel bad if she died, and the girl got pissed off. What I'd meant was that I'd feel bad if any girl died, even, say, Aaliyah, because that movie was on at the time (on during the re-telling of the story, not the original event, I changed it a little bit as I was repeating last night). The daughter of one of the delivery drivers at Pizza Hutt died last week and I felt bad when I heard. The point is, it's really farking ironic that I chose a girl who's actually dead now as an example of feeling sad to know that some random girl is dead, and I actually feel bad now.
2001-08-26 02:32:32 AM
btw..did anyone see the new Jet Li movie? I haven't yet but found it cool that Jean Reno, Bridget Fonda were also in it(also both in Luc Besson's previous action films).
2001-08-26 02:33:30 AM
hahah ok Its ok she died cause she had a bad proformance in a movie

yep otaconx you got it all figured out
2001-08-26 02:43:23 AM
Too bad, she was hot.

but I never bought her albums anyway.

gotta watch mtv for more tasteful commentary on her death.
2001-08-26 02:45:31 AM
"Today marked the death of Aayliah.. now over to Carson with NSync, Backdoor Boys and 98 degrees in an enclosed room ready to rub them down with baby oil for an incredible orgy"
2001-08-26 02:49:15 AM
"hello, United Airlines?, How much for a ticket from the airport to the beach?"
2001-08-26 02:50:05 AM
I think I know what shampoo she was using... head and shoulders
2001-08-26 03:09:50 AM
Why did'nt Superman save Aaliyah,
Cuz he's in a wheelchair!

whats the difference between a cessna and a can of spam?
they give you a key to get the meat out the can of spam

What did she say to her friends?
Do you want to fly home or just crash here

Why was Aaliyah so thin?
crash diet

whats the difference between Aaliyah and a blade of grass?
6 feet

I got million of em folks
2001-08-26 03:10:37 AM
Making jokes at the expense of the dead is just the way that humans deal with their own mortality.
2001-08-26 03:18:21 AM
Wraith, did you not get enough attention when you were younger? Were you harshly toilet trained? Maybe you just need a hug. I bet you could meet some understanding peers in the AOL chatrooms.
2001-08-26 03:18:58 AM
Yeah, from what I saw of it... it looked like a disturbing Roarshach ink blot
2001-08-26 03:19:47 AM
Cool, I guess they deleted his little entry.
2001-08-26 03:37:25 AM
this is such a scam. Aaliyah isn't dead. Long live aaliyah!
2001-08-26 03:38:23 AM
Yeah, maybe its a setup so Tupac can get some nookie due to being in hiding
2001-08-26 03:38:48 AM
She had blue eyes,
one blue out the door,
one blue out the windshield
2001-08-26 03:39:07 AM
At least she'll be the first alphabetical entry for celebrity deaths this year.
2001-08-26 03:44:33 AM
As long as we are already being blasphemous and irreverent:

World - rich black girl who can't act = Better Place

That's one less source of anoying teeny-pop music for me to worry about. Too bad that boy-band kid didn't OD.
2001-08-26 03:47:34 AM
I made this whole point when Lady Died.... Mother Theresa died at the same time and she dedicated her whole life to helping those who couldnt help themselves. She get any mention in the media? No..

Same thing applies here.. I have no remorse for famous celebrities.. they have/had it better than most of us ever will. Relatives and friends are what matter most to me.
2001-08-26 03:52:42 AM
Bunny, why is the world a better place if she dies? One thing to be irreverant, but you're just nonsensical.
2001-08-26 03:59:57 AM
Didn't want to go here, but...

She was just part of the establishment trying to keep whitey down

*joking folks, joking*
2001-08-26 04:01:08 AM
Wolfanoz: I agree that the media was very skewed in its coverage of Mother Theresa. I agree that family and friends matter most. But here we have a young lady who died in horrific circumstances. It doesn't matter if she was a celebrity or not. She died a terrible death, and for that I feel remorse.

We're all going to die, its a fact of life, but I hope I'll die in my sleep suddenly than be in a plane heading for a crash landing and knowing that I'm facing the end. I can't even imagine the terror that everyone on the plane probably felt as the plane went down. I wouldn't wish that on my worst enemy.
2001-08-26 04:01:54 AM
As I was saying earlier, if the plane landed in the ocean, they could have played "Back and Forth" during the footage and it would have been fitting....

I'm really going to have a hot seat in hell...
2001-08-26 04:02:26 AM
Rberry: great profile pic!
2001-08-26 04:05:16 AM
It doesn't matter if she was a celebrity or not. She died a terrible death, and for that I feel remorse.

Funny, no one mentioned the other 7 people who died. Remorse for them isn't needed I guess.

Yes, it is about being a celebrity. Or at least being familiar with that celebrity.
2001-08-26 04:06:56 AM
Tsubaki: I'd rather die like the dude did at the end of Monty Python's Meaning of Life.. chased by topless roller skaters off the edge of a cliff
2001-08-26 04:17:08 AM
So having never heard of her, it's ok if I think.. "well so what?"
2001-08-26 04:17:38 AM
Preach on brutha Skallas!

Its a media thing. Someone with name recognition dies. Media sees a story and prints it. Good people die in tragic ways all around us every day. But the world doesn't mourn their loss - no story. The fact that everyone is going to make such a big deal out of this is part of the problem. I hate the media.
2001-08-26 04:18:47 AM
I also hate gypsies, cabbies, carnies, and grifters.
2001-08-26 04:19:12 AM
Fark the media and Mitch "I farked Aaliyah's cold body" Albom
2001-08-26 04:19:41 AM

deserve to die.
2001-08-26 04:22:00 AM
as i am sure you all know there is always a celebrity death trifecta....

my question is: who are the next two?

bob hope?
2001-08-26 04:22:31 AM
Everyone deserves to die...
...except Walken
2001-08-26 04:22:56 AM
Bob Hope and O.J. Simpson
2001-08-26 04:25:34 AM
sad i guess...i mean, i didnt know her, listen to her music, or watch her i dont care that much...but damn, scraping fetus has got some jokes today....funny stuff, besides the whole loss of human life thing...
2001-08-26 04:26:38 AM
Skallas: I mentioned only Aaliyah in that sentence because that was the subject of the conversation. If you finished reading my post you would see that I said "I can't even imagine the terror that everyone on the plane probably felt as the plane went down. I wouldn't wish that on my worst enemy.

Sure, we are talking about it because it was on the news, and it was on the news because she is a celebrity. I feel remorse for everyone I hear about that dies terribly, whether that person is famous or otherwise.

Sorry, I'm ranting. My husband's grandmother died last week and we are still trying to get over it. I guess I'm just overly-sensitive at the moment :)
2001-08-26 04:29:16 AM
sorry Tsubaki
2001-08-26 04:30:38 AM
oops, meant to read:
sorry Tsubaki
2001-08-26 04:31:45 AM
sympathy_tag sorry Tsubaki /sympathy_tag
2001-08-26 04:33:34 AM
Tsubaki - My condolences..
2001-08-26 04:53:58 AM
Eh. She was a fine piece of ass. That's about my whole opinion on the subject.
2001-08-26 04:54:25 AM
NexR, Wolfanoz: Thanks.

I think maybe I should never have gotten involved in this thread in the first place :)
2001-08-26 05:16:56 AM
... that is so farked up.. :*-(
I am so sad.. my co-worker and I was just talking about her the other night on her profeccinal level.... man........
Moment of silence.... please. To the passangers on that plane... 22 years is not the way to go for anybody.....
2001-08-26 05:21:41 AM
So I wonder how many times the guys engraving her headstone will misspell her name?

Meanwhile, I've never heard of this "Aliyah" person. Sometimes it takes death to bring these things into the light.

Meanwhile, Walkman hit it right on the money with his ""The cause of the crash was unclear". Huh? I can tell them right up front, the plane quit flying." remark. farking hilarious. Made me farking laugh and shiat!!!

I am tired and have no idea why I am still awake at 2:28 AM PDT. Goodnight
