I just love yesterday's news!

Lions are definitely going 0-16.

Matt Millen never would've let this happen.

Detroit is where quarterbacks go to die.

I liked this part too:
2. The Rams and Raiders are done, and they have been for a while. But they both have a shot at history. Why not make the move to an interim interim coach? The current interim coaches have only made each team worse, and the benefit of the interim interim coach is even if he does well, you only have to promote him up to interim coach pay. It's really a no-brainer.

Hey, Davis is crazy enough to give it a shot.

Horrible fantasy team that crushed your team this week
I have Kevin Smith (Snoogans!) and BenJarvus Green-Ellis on my fantasy team. My bench RULED this week.

Hands up if you think Ricky Williams should be allowed to smoke as much weed as he wants.

Maneck: Hey, Davis is crazy enough to give it a shot.

lol
I'm reminded of a prior Page 2 NFL hangover by DJ Gallo...

Kiffin: "Yes, sir?"
Davis: "You are fired."
Kiffin: "I am?"
Davis: "Yes."
Kiffin: "But who are you to fire me?"
Davis: "I am Al Davis."
Kiffin: "No, you're not. I am Al Davis."
Davis: "You are? Then who am I?"
Kiffin: "You are Lane Kiffin."
Davis: "Who the %$!@ is Lane Kiffin?"
Kiffin: "I mean you are Art Shell, not Lane Kiffin. Art Shell."
Davis: "Well, then I'm fired! You may go."
Kiffin: "Thank you, sir."

Did Culpepper even practice with the team last week or did they just toss him in cold?

I'm really not looking forward to Thanksgiving.

Dallas will do fine, but Detroit is going to be crushed.

Alternate plays in Lions playbook:

1) Allow 23 yard run when opponent is facing 3rd and 19

2) Call back 47yd TD pass due to illegal block in the back

He practiced for about 4 days.

He had 3 days of practice and maybe 4 days with the playbook.

"They took our bye week, so we had to come out there and show 'em that they can throw obstacles at us and we'll just try to overcome them." -- Willis McGahee, RB, Ravens

What's said is that, after the hurricane, one Ravens fan on Fark was articulating the same opinion - this was somehow the Texans' fault, so they shouldn't move both teams' bye weeks because of it.

What's even sadder is that he thinks that the Texans can throw some obstacles of any kind at anybody.

I still don't understand why Culpepper is such a pariah. I think he could be decent with the right coaching. Maybe he's proven he's difficult to coach, but he's also had MVP-caliber seasons. If you're willing to take a flier on freaking Joey Harrington why not 'Pep?
