This may be the perfect pop song. And I kinda wanted to see Tony Butler join the Who after John Entwistle died.

That's Corfe Castle in Dorset, where I grew up. There are also scenes in Swanage (my old stomping grounds), and abseiling at Dancing Ledge, where I learned to rock climb.

The Bee Gees are actually from Manchester, UK and emigrated to Australia.
And I assumed the 'greatest band' you're referring to is ACDC? The Young brothers grew up outside of Glasgow, Scotland and also emigrated to Australia.

alexanderplatz: This is a great song, but the video is just the goofiest. I get this picture of a video producer trying to tie in activities that they thought would appeal to young, male MTV viewers: ATVs, motorcycles, a cute girl, and some vague hint at intrigue.

Show me a video from the 80s that wasn't at least a little bit quirky(other than the occasional performance vid). That was SOP back then.

Anywho.. this song is one of my guilty pleasures. I've always liked it.

There were some weak songs for sure, but more gems than just the eponymously titled track. I've got a dozen or so favorites. And they were great live.

In the US, a one-hit wonder (sort of). In the RoW, a pretty big draw and popular for the better part of two decades.

Not my favorite band, but every time Stuart's anniversary comes around or a thread like this, I'll go check out if anything new is on YouTube and go find my Final Fling cd.

Big Country is my favorite band to put on mix tapes for my oh so jaded friends. They're always saying who did that one song? Was that an import from seminal band x? Nope Big Country. As in In a Big Country. As in my kareoke jam. They sort of shudder and then play along. Farking wanks.
