I_C_Weener: I can't be certain but I think the artist might have a bondage fantasy.

Really? A cartoon artist with a bondage fantasy? I've never heard of such a thing.

wegro: It used to take courage--indeed, it was the act of courage par excellence--to leave the comforts of home and family and go out into the world seeking Last Post. Today there are fewer places to discover, and the real Last Post is to stay at home.

-Alvaro de Solva

I once made campm all alone on a frozen riverbank in the barren tundra wasteland that is Canada. That night the wind howled and pushed at my flapping tent and drove me deep into my sleeping bag for warth. I had an uneasy strang feeling that something was out there watching and waiting. But I just wrote the it off to the utter darkness and winds howling. The product of a vivid imagination and too much stew for dinner

At sunrise the tent was still jostling about..but there was no wind noise, just a strange sussarus as if the river had thawed and was flowing. I looked out of my tent and was shocked to see that during the night my camp had been completely enveloped by an impossibly huge herd of migrating last posters. They were walking shoulder to shoulder from horizon to horizon. It was as beutiful as it was dangerous and icky. Millions or perhaps tens of millions of them. The cows holding blackberrys and tending to sammiches while the bulls had full notebooks perched on their heads on racks mad from stale cheetos and duct tape and stiffened socks which they had found in their environment.

We will never see herds of last posters that big again Im afraid. Too much global warming going on, and all this hope and change is drawing last posters out of their basements where they are being preyed upon by societal pressures and stresses and corrupt video game pushers.

Iy was a time our grandchildren will never be able to understand.
