I realize that living/working in the corporate realm shields you from the military goings-on, but what you fail to realize is that there are so many programs that are in place right now to not only provide homeland defense but to support our soldiers on the ground with critical resources to carry out their jobs and to protect themselves. Like it or not, we are in a state of war and as long as we are out there, there is a need/demand for appropriate military resources. You can't give a soldier a stick and shield and expect him to stand a chance. There are more than a few antiquated (read as Vietnam/Korea leftovers)resources that our soldiers are expected to be succesful with. It is paramount that we provide adequate support to be successful.
