/Dale Gribble is my hero

2008-11-03 08:11:07 PM
Sweet. They can air it after Scrubs.

2008-11-03 08:41:30 PM
I watched an episode today for the first time in years. I liked it. Anything else you wanna know?

2008-11-03 08:44:42 PM
Damnit, Bobby.

2008-11-03 08:45:02 PM
Oh that would be nice.

2008-11-03 08:51:20 PM
Just in case The Goode Family tanks, right?

/my son, his name is Ubuntu

2008-11-03 08:53:00 PM
It would be nice to see a network besides fox handle a decent cartoon for once.

puffy999:Damnit Dang it, Bobby.

ABC is owned by Disney, the animation kings. But they have this weird Fredo vibe when it comes to prime-time animation. They think they can develop better properties in-house than their corporate masters.

Remember Capitol Critters? Clerks? And now The Goode Family.

"I can handle things! I'm smart! Not like everybody says... like dumb... I'm smart and I want respect!"

Best line: Bobby, if you weren't my son, I'd hug you.

2008-11-03 09:03:04 PM
Excellent. Recently, it's been better than both Family Guy and Simpsons.

2008-11-03 09:04:32 PM
ABC? Wow, it must really have started to suck...

2008-11-03 09:06:48 PM
Forget the animation and make it with real actors. Then you will see how boring it is.

/Other than Hank Hills temporary butt implants for lawn tractor racing.
/Yea. Watched the first one or two seasons.
///Wheres the pic of Hank Hill from Beavis and Butthead?

2008-11-03 09:07:07 PM
Good, I actually get ABC and love KotH. (too cheap to buy cable)

2008-11-03 09:10:11 PM
I know that King of the Hill will be remembered as a classic show.

Everyone says they love it, but no one watches it.

2008-11-03 09:16:20 PM
I have seen almost literally every episode of KOTH, and I still think it's a fine program. I'm glad to hear it might get a reprieve.

2008-11-03 09:17:02 PM
What's next, ABC revives The Critic?

2008-11-03 09:18:01 PM
Just hasn't been the same since Cotton died.

2008-11-03 09:18:35 PM
King of the Hill and Futurama... that's where the awesome is located.

3825968: Remember Capitol Critters?

I thought I was the only one.

I liked it, but I was, like, 9.

KOTH is exceptionally well-written and performed and I love it.

2008-11-03 09:42:26 PM
What the hell?

2008-11-03 09:45:31 PM
That's my purse, I don't know you!

2008-11-03 09:49:24 PM
Can't we just put Stephen Root in everything on TV, and be done with it?

My wife lies to me. My beer company betrays me. Americans are giving Mexicans diarrhea. What the hell is going on here?

I watch the reruns.

2008-11-03 10:14:36 PM
Terrx: I watch the reruns.

They are up to about season 10 in the reruns so you have seen a good amount of them if you watch often.

This is very good news. KotH has been my favorite show for years.

I'll co-sign on this. And then maybe I'll burn down the entire building.

Get Lost: Forget the animation and make it with real actors. Then you will see how boring it is.

A thousand times this.

therumblefish: King of the Hill and Futurama... that's where the awesome is located.

May the horrible gelatinous blob devour you for trying to elevate KOTH to the awesomeness that is Futurama. Dr. Zoidberg has more talent in one of his wretched mouth feelers than the entirety of KOTH ...

/ that is all.

2008-11-03 10:30:20 PM
Elzar: A thousand times this.

Would you care to explain this considering you support the idea so much. I am not sure what it even means. Saying you dont enjoy the show and then maybe explaining why would be better.

2008-11-03 10:32:09 PM
I like American Dad better than any of them at the moment. King of the Hill is still a favorite though.

I watch it. It's the only really good thing on Fox now.

Funk Brothers: What's next, ABC revives The Critic?

I wish.

2008-11-03 10:46:07 PM
Wow! Really? I understand people like different stuff than I do, and that's cool and all, but I've always been surprised this show has retained its popularity.

Dammit, I hate not getting shiat. Really? This show is consistently funny? Is it because I don't live in a red state? Am I stupid? Not stupid enough? TELL ME!!!

Stray Slacker: Is it because I don't live in a red state?

It isnt about a Republican. Politics hardly ever come up and if they do it isnt to thrust ideology upon the viewers. Try watching the show for a while, get to know the characters and the relationships they have with one another, then laugh. It is a great show with some real funny commentary. Some things arent for everyone so I wouldnt worry too much if you dont like it. That is why we have 200 channels.

I think it has something to do with being from a small town and at a financial level somewhere near middle class. I think it's hilarious but then again many of the characters remind me of a lot of people I knew growing up.

Hehehehehehehe....

And Cotton was one of the shiattiest charactors ever.

mfaby: And Cotton was one of the shiattiest charactors ever.

No, Bobby was the man with the terrible stench. You need to watch that episode again.

2008-11-03 11:13:17 PM
Watched last night. It was awesome. First they were like "myspace" and I was all like "hey, this is on Fox. Rupert Murdoch owns News Corp. News Corp. owns myspace. I'm sure this will only be a small part of the plot". Then they said myspace 100 more times. Then I remembered why I hate the show.

2008-11-03 11:14:45 PM
I love that show. I guess it's b/c I grew up and still live in a small Texas town. It doesn't necessarily represent my small town but Santa Fe, TX the small town next door.

3/10

GoodyearPimp: Then I remembered why I hate the show.

Why? Do you think the creators of KotH are in Murdoch's pocket? What other examples of this are there? I never really noticed a trend if there is one.

Ever since then, I've sort of wanted to eat ten pounds of lutefisk, just to see what would happen.

Gunny Highway: Some things arent for everyone so I wouldnt worry too much if you dont like it. That is why we have 200 channels.

I guess. I've given it a few chances, although admittedly didn't exactly commit to it. I never really thought it was partisan by any means, maybe just thought it had that feel for some reason. It's baseless though, you're right.

ProdigalSigh: I think it has something to do with being from a small town and at a financial level somewhere near middle class. I think it's hilarious but then again many of the characters remind me of a lot of people I knew growing up.

Hey, that's me! I still can't feel like I relate to the characters much, maybe that's where the disconnect is.

Guess I'll have to check out those other 200 channels...

All the channels are both a curse and a blassing. So much to watch, so much shiat to sift through.
