If anything ever, ever earned a well-deserved Florida tag, this be it.

You just hit the snooze button, did you?.

2008-11-03 12:24:47 PM
Vote early, vote often!

No fail tag? For the story and the link?

Don't forget, Republicans vote on the 4th, Democrats on the 5th.

2008-11-03 12:26:09 PM
Oh wait, FL trumps Fail, carry on.

2008-11-03 12:26:11 PM
So, what, do they put something in Florida's drinking water?

"Early voting ended yesterday, but the lines continued to for this morning as more than 30 people queued up at the door of Palm Beach County's Supervisor of Elections"

English? Speak it do you?

Florida announced today that in an effort to be green, they will take your ballot, not count it, and then recycle it instead of throwing it in the trash.

2008-11-03 12:27:57 PM
I'm surprised early voting is even an option in a state where it takes five weeks and a helping hand from the U.S. Supreme Court to count the ballots.

Link worked fine here. Maybe in the last 3 minutes a mod fixed it?

The line outside the office continued to grow as the morning wore on.

Typical Obama supporters.

Nathan Farr: Don't forget, Republicans vote on the 4th, Democrats on the 5th.

Don't forget, Diebold has created a voting system that allows Republicans to vote with their minds from home -- so just think about your choice, Republicans, and it will be tallied. Unfortunately, Democrats still have to go out to the voting booths on the 4th.

2008-11-03 12:28:32 PM
Nope. Some are lining up to vote on Tuesday, getting a head start there, some are waiting for Metallica tickets to go on sale, the rest are lining up for iPhone 3.0.

Um, exactly why would "early voting" stop?

That's like saying that after you "pre-board" an airplane that you're going to stop boarding for a day, and then load the rest of the passengers.

LOL you people really think that voting is legit? Do you really think this shiat is real? That you have a voice? The last election was rigged and Kerry knew it but backed off, why? Cuz he's on Bush's team, which is coincidentally the same team McCain and Obama are playing for. Team Fascism.

They stop early voting so that they can spend Monday preparing everything so that nothing (hopefully) goes wrong on election day.

the headline for this paper's wrap-up of MLK Jr.'s "I Have a Dream" deal in 1963 was, "WASHINGTON IS CLEAN AGAIN WITH NEGRO TRASH REMOVED."

So? There were plenty of negroes in DC and I'm sure they generated a fair amount of garbage while there. God bless our garbage men.

/You got served!...and these are the ones making an issue about late early voters?

2008-11-03 01:00:38 PM
This morning, I ran into a friend while getting coffee. I asked her if she had voted yet. (I live in a county where early voting ended on Saturday.) She said she was going today. I told her that she was not. It's easy to get confused about the early voting days/hours. They vary around the state and it does seem logical to me that you'd be able to early vote today. So, you know, I don't consider these folks to be morons, just misinformed.

Oh yeah, and I hear if it's raining on election day you can just go vote on Wednesday.

/please don't believe that last part; it's a joke. I weep for folks who would believe something so lame, but I know they do exist.

2008-11-03 01:10:49 PM
They were told to return on Wednesday to cast their vote.

FTFA: Early voting ended yesterday, but the lines continued to for this morning as more than 30 people queued up at the door of Palm Beach County's Supervisor of Elections.

Some were there to drop off absentee ballots, but the majority made the trek to Military Trail before 7 a.m., thinking early voting continued today.

The definition of a non-story.

You mean at least 16 people in Palm Beach County are stupid? I'm shocked. SHOCKED!

/Shhhh! I'm a PBC resident

News story this morning showed a bunch of "obama supporters" lining up to vote early in Atlanta. They went crying to the NAACP they they weren't allowed to cast a ballot. These people are the reason that there should be a test allowing people to vote. If you are too stupid to figure this out, you have no place deciding who is president.

I just might buy this headline t-shirt.
