Maxor: Reading try it sometime 8th paragraph. "On Tuesday, an estimated 5,000 lawyers and law students supporting Obama will fan out across Florida to monitor polling sites and assist voters, especially in minority, elderly and heavily Democratic precincts. " Don't be an idiot.

So, what you are saying is that these lawyers who are there to ensure fair voting are only ensuring fair voting for Democrats.

How can you possibly know that, without know a damn thing about the facts of the case? What if his dad's estate was worth two million pounds and had complex tax or property transfer issues? I swear to christ, you people are so quick to assume that every lawyer out there is just in it to stick his dick in your ass.

i love it when you talk dirty.

They should also be headed to Ohio and Pennsylvania.

I am afraid McCain will win due to cheating in Ohio, Pennsylvania and Florida.

yeah, because you know how that group ACORN is out there fraudulently registering voters for Republicans.....errr....uhhhh

wait what?

Oh for the love of God, not this again.

Look, ACORN checks its registration applications, but they cannot just discard the ones they know are bad. They have to submit them anyways, under election law.

The reason we know about so many bad applications is because ACORN reported them as suspect.

I thought the sewers were backing up again.

I find it funny (not ha ha funny, sad and stupid funny) that even our presidential candidates know how inept Florida is...wonder how many they have in Ohio?

"When one of the foundations of your opponent's campaign is voter suppression, this makes sense."

When one of the foundations of your campaign is fraudulent registrations and illegal contributions, you don't need to cast stones.

Considering that the GOP cheated many thousands of Dems out of their votes in the last cycles, I'd say these lawyers are going to the right place.

Good idea, if there's one type of profession that I trust it's lawyers. They are all about fairness and equality. I believe that they do their job because they care about PEOPLE...just like Bush.

Yes, the word "especially" means "only". I guess if they're helping the elderly, they can make sure McCain's vote is counted correctly. Operating a voting machine is a little bit outside his skill set.

Good. My best friend who registered with 100% clemency from Florida 5 years ago has been purged from the voting role. No explanation at all from the election board. I will likely get purged too because of the same thing but at least i got my voters card.

Really? How many fraudulent registrations has the Obama campaign created? Oh, and how did you know about the "illegal" contributions? Was it because the Obama campaign flagged them and refunded the money already?

Pathetic.

I think that this is over stated and I'm as blue as ice, but I agree with this commentary on the Obama infomercial: (new window)

And it's not just choreography that matters: It's making the choreography look effortless. Tonight's episode featured all sorts of shots that simply had to be rehearsed: a couple praying before dinner, a mother walking out of a grocery store toward a fixed camera, a woman with arthritis massaging her knuckles. You can imagine the cinematographer saying, "Can you pray a little longer this time? OK, now try moving your mouth a little." It's heavily choreographed. But the production quality is high enough that the transitions are almost invisible. It's the opposite of George H.W. Bush's famously clunky statement to the people of New Hampshire in 1992: "Message: I care." The trick is not to let the seams show.

Smart propaganda does not a smart administration make. If anything, it means we have to be more vigilant in calling out theater when we see it. But whatever the next four years may bring, we're in for some damn good camera angles.

The GOP has made numerous attempts at voter suppression already and these attempts are verifiable. On the other hand, your claims are bullshiat. As has already been pointed out, we only know about the bad registrations ACORN got because they reported it as required by law. As for illegal contributions, the necessary checks are in place and contributions have been returned and continue to be returned.

Get your news from somewhere besides Fox and talk radio.

The MEDIA got Sam the Unlicensed Plumber's 'dirt', NOT Obama. Obama answered the question and moved on. McCain was the one who made 'Joe' part of his campaign, and the media smelled a story. But don't let that get in the way of your ODS.

Censoring media outlets who ask he or his running mate tough questions.
You mean the McCain plants posing as reporters who asked bullshiat 'bait' questions? At least they didn't ask him what newspapers he read!

Now, throwing reporters off of his plane because their paper's endorsed someone else.

That's a better idea than digging yourself into the same holes everyone else does. Democrats wouldn't need to send lawyers to all these states if Republicans were comfortable letting black people vote. You'd think they would have gotten over it after 139 years.

Because it's a good PR stunt. They want to ensure that "every vote is counted" and to "stop stongarm tactics by the evil Republicans".

Propoganda, learn to smell it.

The Icelander: filth: You know what the opposite of vote suppression is? Vote fraud.

When I say it should be painful for people to be this stupid, I meant for them, not for me.

*facepalm*

The opposite of voter suppression isn't voter fraud, dumbass. That's the opposite extreme and also to be avoided. The opposite of both of those is clean elections where nobody is suppressed and nobody is fraudulently voting.

If Republicans stopped trying to remove people's voter registrations illegally, Obama wouldn't need 5,000 lawyers in Ohio.

\I really think the UN should be monitoring our elections.

citation needed, asshole. there's been more or less nonstop lies about vote suppression since 2000, and there's still no evidence that any election has been affected by people being intimidated at the polls, lack of access to polls, or illegal disqualification of voters. on the other hand, there's also no evidence of elections being affected by the great gop bugabear of vote fraud (though there appears to be some decent evidence of attempts at fraud). my point is that both sides have their own made up bullshiat reasons to whine about why they can't win this or that election, and pretending that one party or the other is on the side of the angels is the sign of either intellectual dishonesty or exceptional ignorance. which one is your problem, jackass?
