Damn, I've gotten 14 calls from the plant in the phillipines this week - woke my ass up twice

For unnecessary calls from my boss, the overtime clock starts ticking the moment I hear the telephone - and the minimum is one hour.

I work from home being "field" based so I get calls all hours and don't care. But I gotta say, "what the fark people?" How hard is it not to answer the phone?

It's why I never give my company my mobile number.

Somebody owes me an awful lot of money.

I get 2 hours straight time per day and 2 hours OT for EACH phone call, even if it's only 30 seconds. Caused some interesting juggling of time reports when I'd already worked 10 hours and then was called more than 7 times. It makes them think twice before dialing.

Damn straight. OT all the way for at home calls. Its just to keep them from calling you with STUPID questions

Or, if they call too much, I take it from Fb- and:

I work from home. If they can't call me any more, that would make my job a whole heck of a lot easier.

Gary Condit was on the steps of Capitol Hill this AM handing out his number and chanting, "you call ME, girl!"

fark American lawyers and their personal injury civil rights "oh I've been harmed by your actions give me money" litigious BULLshiat. Life is a difficult place, and not every little hardship should result in profit through litigation. fark some people are thin-skinned.

Flakeloaf: Ummm......I thought this was an article from Britain.......(not that I disagree with your statement).

Stupid questions? Nope, I still get them. It just costs them about $150 for a 30 second call. I may have to jack the price even more to avoid "The lights are out! What do I do?" Uhhh, flip on the lightswitch. You'll laugh but that was a real call at 3 am one morning. The security guard hit the wrong switch and the tech flipped.

Clutch: I think employers can still bang their employees... as long as the sex isn't work related.

H20, my bad. I read only the headline and automatically assumed it was from the US because it mentioned pointless litigation. Mea culpa.
