In other news, local campaign offices are staffed by loons with too much time on their hands.

What's going on with Florida Republicans? Yesterday Charlie Crist said that allegations of voter registration fraud are being grossly exaggerated, and today, we have two Republicans condemning this idiocy. Did someone send a truckload of smarts down there or something? Whatever it is, it's refreshing.

I wonder if you will audibly hear their heads exploding on Nov 4th. I would record that sound. And masturbate to it over and over and over again.

Asshats like that are just going to make an Obama victory that much sweeter. I'd vote for him just to watch all of the head-asplosions that will ensue when the secret-Muslim Negro is sworn in.

Hussein, Milosevic, Castro, Hitler, McCain

All political prisoners at some point in their lives. John McCain. Wrong for the Viet Cong. Wrong for America.

2008-10-17 12:15:40 PM
Ghandi, Joan of Arc, Hitler, Dostoevsky, McCain, Obama

All of these people had 2 hands.

Double-handedness. Wrong for single-handed people. Wrong for America.

Max Cleland will single-handedly improve the state of our great nation.

And the facepalms keep on rolling in.

I'd expect this short of thing form those so called "fringe" folks, but this is twice this week alone shiat like this has been found at official GOP offices.

I'm amazed how anyone can go along with such outlandish rhetoric, and seriously at least come up with a better link between Obama and all those guys other than "You know who else called for a 'Youth Movement'?"

2008-10-17 12:21:57 PM
You know who else calls for Youth Movements? Every freaking church in America.

The political meter is wrong on this one.

It should be "commie" not "facsist"

The meter is supposed to be based on the political incliniation of the headline. In this case, the headline is critical of Florida's grouping of Obama with these infamous political characters".

Therefore (technically) it is a "commie" thread despite listing several fascists players in the heading.

Any charismatic leader who calls for patriotism and unity can be compared to Hitler, Castro, and/or Mussolini.

Of course, depending on your agenda, you could just as easily compare them to Winston Churchill, Nelson Mandela, and/or JFK. So whether or not the parallels carry any weight with you depends entirely on your politics.

And that's as centrist a statement as you're likely to ever hear from me.

I think the actually intelligent wing of the Republican party is getting more and more disgusted with the ignorant inbred bigoted wing.

And that's a good thing.

The overall meter is leaning slightly toward the "commie" side. Just like Enron, they have to cook the books to make everything look right.

Either that or the admins are drinking again.

I only wish, when Barack Obama is elected president, he announces he's gay.

FTFA:

The issue was raised by Jeffrey Sanders of Boynton Beach, who said he saw the sign Thursday when he stopped to pick up tickets for today's McCain rally at Florida International University.

"To label someone as the next Hitler is beyond outrageous [and] offensive. And it needs to be addressed. And if Barack Obama does the same thing to McCain I would expect the same reaction," he said. "That was not American."

Sanders, 23, is a registered Republican. The Palm Beach Community College student said he is thinking about voting for Obama.

Good to hear that at least some Republicans still have some class. Idiots like the one who posted the sign are going to help McCain lose the election.

LOL. That's so funny -- I was thinking of something similar myself. My Grandmother, who is in apoplexy over the thought of Obama winning, doesn't know I'm gay. I'm thinking of coming out to her and really lowering boom!

If you really don't like the woman like your post implies, you should wait so that the reality of President Obama sinks in. Then, BAM! Out of the closet like a bat out of hell.

Do it just after McCain's concession call.

YES. Then, in the same breath, announce that now that Obama's president, you're immediately marrying your boyfriend. Have an invitation already printed, and hand it to her.

Goodnight, Gracie.

No, dude - you should wait a few months, and then tell her that because of Obama's liberal policies you've chosen to go gay.

Because that's probably how she'll interpret it anyway. You know I'm right.

People shouting "Terrorist! Treason! Hill him! He's an Ay-rab" at rallies...Fried chicken, watermelon and Obama on "funny" Food Stamps...saying he "pals around" with terrorists...and comparing him to the most evil mass murderers in history.

ok..so i was bored and decided to look at both dms and repugs web sites (couldn't find one for castro) for the chosen poster boys...and nader just to look

both repugs and demmies immediately start off with a "give me money dammit" thingee...big turn off, but, eh..wotever...
nader's doesn't, (not that blatantly anyways, the contribute is hidden down below)but they ask you for yer e-mail addy

for some reason, both mccain and barak's pages use a lot of blue...soothing color?
nader, more earth tones
(hahahahahah)
interesting picture right off the bat of hillary looking very angelic and skyward on barack's page
barackies page looks easier to navigate, and places for you to get involved..lotsa "hey, you can be a part tooo!" looking links and crap

mccain...well, i see his story, and a big "strategy speech" from his campaign manager, which i lasted all of 3 minutes listening to. guy sounds like he's an accountant talking to the board members. lotsa charts, and mind numbingly boring graphs. even blue and red states..dude, that is so 2004...
but there is a link so you can buy golf gear
freakin golf gear....

nader...lotsa you tube stuff, and a revolving site that will take you to his issues, how to volunteer, and where to buy crap...well, the t-shirts say they are made in the us and union made...wonder about the coffee mugs...two for $20...damn, thats a couple gallons of gas...
and lotsa blogs
lotsa blogs

back to mccain...
yes...golf gear,..sweet baby jesus the old fart is sellng golf gear...page wouldn't load...and froze my internet connection...
ok..my brain has had enough of him

back to baracky..
pleasing blue..
so lullabye like...
and you can click on every state and figure out why barack loves you and who loves him back..feels like a big hug..or a cult recruitment page..either or...
ok, re-opened the mccain page
just noticed the front page (where they say "no, really, give money...") is black and white with a autistic looking mccain...
why black and white? is this a photo from before there was color? i bet before they clipped it you could see civil war troops in the background....
ok, have to click on mccain's story..nice fluff piece on cindy, apparently she just travels around spreading happiness and cheer, digging landmines out and rescuing children...we could have our own princess diana! and, down at the bottom it finally mentions "yeah, and we think she got her money from budweiser" more or less..
i wonder how they feel about inbev making the moves on ol AB? talk about reversal of fortunes and traditions...
on johnny boy..well, apparantly his entire life revolved around the vietnam war...at least, most of the page is devoted to that.
and, we learn not only was he the heroic prisoner we all know and love, but before that he was involved in a disaster on his aircraft carrier, where 134 ppl died. dude, did you walk under a few too many ladders or break a mirror?
one thing i don't understand is, "John spent much of his time as a prisoner of war in solitary confinement, aided by his faith and the friendships of his fellow POWs." wait...did he make up immaginary POW pals or something, or did solitary confinement mean different things in north vietnam? i mean, they were commies, no solitary ever! everything done as group! glorious revolutionary solitary confinement, you sing chant now!
ooo, and a mccain timeline! where apparantly you can see mccain talking with moses and shooting children from his chariot...

back to nader..oh dear bacchus, don't dare open up the store, you'll never get out! its like vegas or a modern skinner box store...once yer in, the only exit is thru the cashier...help! i just wanted a can of tomato sauce!
hmmm..he's in NYC tonite..only $10 donation...who's the opening band?

obama...we learn a bunch about his parents..trying to slough off the eltist tag placed on him no doubt..his mom was a rosie the riveter, his dad herded goats and made tea for his british masters..just like yer parents! maybe mccain bombed one of those goats...commie goats no doubt...and nader warned of the dangers of exploding goats..wait, these were kenyan goats, they don't explode, only american goats would do that, nevermind
and, you can get an obama fleece blanket! or a hope wrist rubber ring thingee! will it clash with my colbert one? and ballons! man, nader could learn a thing or three here! tho, his coffee mug is $15 just for one...and no golf gear.

and mccain's store page has once again frozen my internet connection...

all in all, you can definately tell Obama has the guy who started Facebook help in running things.
and ah man, he even has artwork...
I Love Obama...now, if only he was giving out beer...

Interesting read, thanks.

Wait? Marx called upon youth to serve in a movement? I'd like to see these people actually try to explain who they think Marx was. I'm sure it would be very comical.

Obama's in the catbird seat, but he could easily fall out of it. The next two weeks are going to be agonizingly slow.

Obama seems to be a centrist, not a fascist. If he's elected, I imagine he will displease a lot of people on the left because of what he doesn't do. Look at the section of the Frontline documentary detailing his election as President of the Harvard Law Review.
