"KAAAAAAHHHHHHNNNNN't stop loooooving you ..."

"Transformed Man" is one of the funniest damned things ever recorded. I've slipped it into hard rock disc cases at parties for laughs, the whole party stops and everyone mouth's in unison "What the ...?"

2002-12-30 10:49:42 PM
er, everyone mouthes ... gargh .... KAHN!

2002-12-30 10:54:39 PM
I look forward to downloading it.

In the word of the immortal Marv Albert, "YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS"

Hey, Mr Tambourine Man

can you hear me, Mr Tambourine Man?

I'm calling you, you ol' Tambourine Man

2002-12-30 11:21:14 PM
i actually downloaded mr. tambourine man off a newsgroup, listened to it, and then decided NOT to download the rest of the album.

Gack! Gasp... choke....gurgle....

As long as they use really good backing singers like they did for Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds it'll all be okay.

What would be scary is if Leonard Nimoy made a new album.

"IF I WAS A CARPENTER... AND YOU WERE MY LADY... WOULD YOU MARRY ME ANYWAY... WOULD YOU CALL ME BABY?"

except with less enthusiasm.

I think we've killed his site.

Good.

2002-12-31 06:51:52 AM
PS. I nearly said photon torpedoed instead of killed. I need to get a life.

It reminds me of a Brady Bunch LP a friend of mine owned. American Pie was never the same after that. It's ok. I have a Souxie and the Banshees album that's all covers, rangeing from the sublime rendition of Sparks' "This Town Ain't Big Enough For the Both of Us" to the ridiculous cover of "Trust In Me" from Disney's "The Jungle Book".

I'd love to hear Shatner do a tribute album of Clash songs..

Or maybe Shatner versions of your favorite Biggie Smalls tracks.

2002-12-31 06:58:05 AM
The site is hosed... which is probably for the greater good.

2002-12-31 07:00:20 AM
Or that Cheeky Girl song

You ARE ...... the chee .... ky boys .........
Touch ...... my bum

2002-12-31 07:01:17 AM
Shatner should do the Grandmaster Flash and the Furious Five...

"Don't...push...me...cause...I'm...close...to..the......edgedge....I'm...tryin g...not...to...looose...my...headddddd

Hehe..he..he..."

He's got the pauses nailed.

2002-12-31 07:07:48 AM
Weird I was just listning to the cheeky girls

2002-12-31 07:09:58 AM
I'm listening to "Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds" right now. Shatner always makes me laugh.

"...AND SHE'S GONE!!" (in jarring Shatner voice)

2002-12-31 07:10:27 AM
Heh Jay_vee, what programming do you do?

2002-12-31 07:11:11 AM
"...AND SHE'S GONE!!"

I keep thinking he's slowly turning into an evil leprachaun in that song. Thank god for the backing singers who i hope got a shedload of money for being forced to record with shatner.

Oasics:- Lots of stuff, but recently mainly web development stuff in ASP, VB and SQL Server. Having said that, today I'm working in C and an in-house ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ

Sorry, bored myself to sleep again.

Not as bad as Leonard Nimoy singing.

The person that tops that for making an album and shouldn't have is Jack Palance.

Hey, when is the NEW star trek movie coming out?

2002-12-31 07:18:12 AM
William Shatner is great. He was great on TZ, great on ST, great on 3rd Rock, and in the past ten years, he has developed a wonderful sense of humor about himself.

For a terrific movie, look for Free Enterprise a great movie about Hollywood, growing up, and the Star Trek Philosophy. And, And, it shows William Shatner as not only very funny, but very sweet, and a great rapper!

Hey, when is the NEW star trek movie coming out?

OMG! NEXT YEAR! I HEAR IT'S GONNA BE SPIFFY!

Jay I may have something interesting for you to look at, drop me a mail, damien[nospam-﹫-backwards]scitens*com....

you're in the UK right?

Shatner's not an actor. He's not a singer. He's....Shatner. And somehow he's gotten along just by adding.....spaces.....between his....words....for a living.

Has anyone heard the song he did with Ben Folds? It's actually pretty good. I think that Ben is going to help out with this new Shatner album too. That should be cool. Of course, you have to like Ben Folds....I think he ROCKS! Piano style, of course.

2002-12-31 07:21:56 AM
AutomaticHatstand:

I keep thinking he's slowly turning into an evil leprachaun in that song.

That might explain the "Transformed Man" album title.

2002-12-31 07:23:01 AM
From "In Love," Bill Shatner and Ben Folds:

"At ten I was sworn to secrecy......by the International Brotherhood....of Lying Fickle Males.....I can't tell you anything.....and I.....CAN'T......COMMIT!!!"

Ya just gotta love it. Even if you hate it.

2002-12-31 07:24:35 AM
Many years back David Letterman played some of a Shatner album where he sang Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds...HI-Larious!!!! I think I will buy this album if I can ever find a retailer that will have it in stock.

His site is running LAMP. Apache 1.3 and MySQL.

Pity they are using a webserver/database that uses pooled connections.

The result: cosmic farking: Warning: Too many connections in /home/devwilli/html/pnadodb/drivers/adodb-mysql.inc.php on line 121

Warning: MySQL Connection Failed: Too many connections in /home/devwilli/html/pnadodb/drivers/adodb-mysql.inc.php on line 121
mysql://devwilli:@unixweb2.sudjam.com/williamshatnerdev failed to connectToo many connections

And um, not the username in the error message. devwilli.

That will make it that much easier for someone to crack the password.

Leonard Nimoy did a recording a few years ago about the Hobbit (sp?). It was featured on a Dr. Demento CD. Bad does not begin to describe it. Shatner would only be worse.

2002-12-31 07:29:20 AM
Dr Tad Winslow:

If you can't find "Transformed Man", see if they have "Golden Throats: The Great Celebrity Sing-Off!". This is a great introduction to Shatner, Nimoy, Nabors, and friends.

2002-12-31 07:30:53 AM
If you use Kazoo, try looking for the Nimoy VIDEO for the "Balled of Bilbo Baggins"

WARNING do not drink for at least five hours before viewing this video

2002-12-31 07:31:41 AM
wow!! we farked cap'n kirk!

2002-12-31 07:34:10 AM
At least the guy knows he's a joke and can make fun of himself. Remember many years back, during the MTV Movie Awards (back when it was ENTERTAINING), when they re-made that part of the movie Seven? Shatner played all the parts. He was Kirk, TJ Hooker, and when they found the box, they opened it and there was Shatner's severed head singing, "MR. TAMBOURINE MAAAANNNNN!" His inability to take himself too seriously, that's the only reason I respect the man.

2002-12-31 07:34:21 AM
Sweet. He set a record on connections to MySQL!

Pipco:

Hey, speak for yourself!

: )

2002-12-31 07:57:45 AM
I think he should do a cover of "Iron Man". Thats one of the few Metal songs sung slow enough for Cap'n Kirk.

Has he................ lost his mind?
Can he see................. or is he blind?

2002-12-31 08:12:42 AM
But...this was the.....worst. Album. Evar.....

(Or funniest)

2002-12-31 08:14:07 AM
Leonard Nimoy singing Bilbo Baggins is the only time i've heard his voice going an octave above a monotone.

It's scary.

See, i used to listen to ALL this kind of stuff in the past, mainly whilst sitting around in a sofa with a bunch of friends getting mashed.

If you want a LOT more fun, go and get Moog Indigo by Jean Jacques Perrey. An entire album of music made completely on a moog synthesizer.

Fun!

2002-12-31 08:18:50 AM
won't he just go away?

2002-12-31 08:23:51 AM
if it is anything like Mr. Tangerine man, I will crap myself

Stardate 12.31.02.8.26; Captain's Log. I think I have finally found my voice. The crew, no... the people... are finally listening.

2002-12-31 08:34:52 AM
Aye, cap'n... the web site... she can't take any more!

2002-12-31 08:39:57 AM
William Shatner is like the new Frank Sinatra.

2002-12-31 08:41:49 AM
I bent my wookie
