"Crump cautioned that copyright protection can't stop a clone once one is identified - it can only help the owner seek damages from its creator."
Meaning you'll just have to take an axe to the doppleganging bastard. Would that be suicide?

I saw a promo last night on Nightline that mentioned celebrities copyrighting their DNA. It said that someone could be cloned from the fingerprint residue left on a glass. That's very disturbing.

This is wrong. We should already have legal rights to ourselves.

I saw some news show, I think Dateline, where some company took some lady's egg and implanted it in someone else. So, now she has like a 6 year old biological daughter that she never consented to. Strange world.

Damn. Until they listed the price I thought this might be a fun gag item to have. But who in the hell is going to pay $1500 for something like that?

And I just thought of something even more frightening. Anyone egotistical enough to think that the world wants to clone them is going to demand blood tests everytime they see someone that remotely resembles them.

What I'd like to know is exactly how do u copyright your own genes?
Because if you write an article or whatever you just write it at the bottom, it's not like a patent where u have to apply for it or anything. You just write copyright 2001 and it's done. If I write copyright on my arm would my genes then be copyright ? :P or should it be my parents doing it since they are the ones who created me? (other than god/x)

No, no, no, your parents should write it on every gene in your body when you are born!
