i remember last year, a friend who was a big allbarn supporter was thrilled the tiggers lured tony franklin away from Troy. then chris todd switched his commitment from Troy to allbarn. things looked low for my Trojans ... but i remember something i told my friend:

allbarn will make a mistake by never fully commiting to the spread. tubs will have yet another OC to blame (sorry, folks, it's a pattern of behavior).

nice to see i've been right so far.

oh, and my friend now wishes allbarn had never even HEARD of Franklin or Todd. LMAO

One game at a time, at Mississippi State next week, facing cowbells (new window) aplenty. VU has not been 6-0 since 1928, since the formation of the Southeastern Conference in 1933.

Best signs in the background at ESPN's College Gameday was either "4-0 isn't just our GPA" or "You guys are blocking the library".

As soon as that clown Corso put on the Auburn hat, I knew that the 'Dores were going to win.

Vandy 5-0?

At least the Cubs exited the playoffs last night, otherwise, I'd be expecting the Apocalypse sometime this week.

it wasn't a pretty win, but it was fun.

Glad to see that the Alabama faithful are out this morning. Alabama was so spectacular yesterday, I can hardly contain my joy. How many national championships...15. I mean before the season you guys had 13, and then when 90K showed up for practice, that makes 14. Now that you all barely beat unranked UK at home, that's 15. Wow. I feel like I should bow down and start the Wayne's World "We're not worthy" chant. Don't worry. You guys will get a chance to see the spread offense. LSU will spread your arse cheeks and give it to you.

This is a rough year at Auburn. Tony Franklin was an obvious mistake. We just need to run in salvage mode and get out of 08. At least we realize that. Alabama still doesn't realize that Bear is dead and there is still a lot left in the season. Good Luck Tide. You'll need it. All number 2 means this early in the season, is that you have a big target painted on your head.

Somebody is a grumpy monkey this morning. I realize that API only has one national championship and counting above one is hard for people at Agricultural schools but don't hate our success, appreciate it.

Yeah just like UGA was supposed to.

John Parker Wilson looked like garbage yesterday. Bama's defense is stout and impressive, but the QB position is a little shaky. LSU will destroy Alabama.

Auburn fan here, all I can say is even southeast Louisiana could beat us with that dumb ass play calling from Tony Franklin. The man is afraid to line up and power run it. If we don't get back to playing Auburn football, which consists of power running and throwing deep when they stack the box, then we are doomed for the rest of the season.

That is what I don't get is TT has been so successful running the power run. Why the hell do you completely change your offensive philosophy when it isn't broke?

Nice win last night. I expected a blowout after the first two or three drives by Auburn, but the defense stepped up nicely. Whoever coaches the O-line is doing a good job with the new starters. Now Bobby Johnson has to do is keep his players away from ESPN and the rest of the sports media so they can focus on beating Mississippi State next Saturday.

What stinks is that I have to root for Clemson. If they win, they won't get any ideas about hiring Johnson away, since they'll have to keep Tommy Bowden as their coach.

GG Vandy. It will be nice for the 4 SEC East teams that are left this season to have a chance to play a meaningful game against the 'Dores.

Maybe there will be 2-3 top 10 upsets and Vandy can squeeze into the top 10 after next week?

It won't take upsets... somebody has to lose when the ranked Big12 teams start to play each other next week. Here are the next 4 opponents for Texas and their current rank:
1 Oklahoma
3 Missouri
17 Oklahoma State
7 Texas Tech

This is a cleverly disguised plan by Tuberville. Hold back what wins games for us (the power running), put in the spread after we are confident that our defense can stop the other offense. Lose a couple of big games so that we don't have to play in the SECCG this year and expose our players to one more game and chances to get hurt. Go to Tuscaloser and win 7 in a row and remain undefeated at Bryant-Denny-Tuberville stadium. Win a meaningless bowl game and come back next year with a mix of power running and the spread with Kodi Burns at the helm and take down a BCS Championship! Oh, and Tuberville will solve the financial crisis too. Yeah, that's the ticket!

/Still hoping for a decent year
//Still confident about 7
