Lap dancing is the ultimate tease. Men who agree to a dance are told how to sit (legs spread, hands placed safely on the velour banquette), as their dancer runs through the house rules

You're doing it wrong.

If you're in the club and not an employee or a spouse, then you're a mark. pure and simple.

She thinks I'm not like all those other guys, and I'm really sweet for giving her such a big tip on her first day on the job that she started to put herself through med school?

If only I had a dollar for every time I heard a girl with daddy issues say, "I'm a marketing major at UNLV."

From TFA: "... Now with most of the clubs full strip, there's girls doing everything. You'll be having full sex in front of them soon and they won't even bat an eyelid."

~eyelid twitches, but never bats~

Some girls, though not many, are paying their way through university.

Love the term "punter" from TFA, however it looks like there's a pretty severe penalty for roughing the punter.

2008-09-24 01:19:22 PM
Yeah, that's all great, but I'm not paying them to think.

2008-09-24 01:20:25 PM
All lap dances i ever received, I could tell the dancers really liked me a lot and wanted me.
It's a gift I guess.

Off to find a lap dance.

/typical patron?

Oh come on - a lap dance is always better when the stripper is crying. Everyone knows that.

2008-09-24 01:20:53 PM
why would you care what a whore thinks of you?

2008-09-24 01:21:00 PM
Hey there handsome! I love your shirt. You're the hottest guy in here. I'll bet you turn all the girls on. My shirt feels tight, do you want me to take it off? Yeah? Dances are $30 for one song or $60 for three songs. Cash or charge; you pay the bartender, not me.

2008-09-24 01:21:12 PM
This is, to say, that they actually have a thought process (or that I care about it).

2008-09-24 01:21:21 PM
FTFA: Another punter, who claims he is a hitman, only ever gets a dance "to make them go away". "It doesn't do nowt for me," he says. "I think it's over, lap dancing. Everyone's going to Thailand nowadays."

WTF? A hitman? And, if it doesn't do anything for him, why is he there? Meeting clients?

This and the pr0n industry girls saying

"It's so empowering to women!"

Fark that. There's nothing powerful about objectifying yourself as a sex tool, no matter how much you get paid for it.

/don't get me wrong, I likes my pr0n, but the women aren't "powerful".

2008-09-24 01:24:24 PM
"Then there are the extras, where the line between dancers and prostitutes starts to blur. "I worked in a club where all the girls were giving extras," says Fiona. "You'd go into the VIP room and the girls were giving blow-jobs or having sex."

The line starts to blur. Not really. It is pretty obvious what they are at that point.

How many "Strippers don't really like you" articles does this planet really need?

They're normally followed by three types of posts:
1.) I'm a guy and I'm just too smart to fall for that.
2.) I dated a stripper once.....
3.) You've never been to this club by my house.....

FTA: Danielle, a 20-year-old dancer in pretty pink underwear, nods. "There are a lot of guys who are genuinely lonely. You get some people who are disabled. It's nice to give them a bit of female company. It makes you feel good about yourself, doing something like that."

And what have you done for your community?

I have to give some credit, they are making money off your urges. Seems like they are using you as much as you are using them.

That's worse than doing nothing. I'll rephrase her comment to illustrate:

"I like to dangle plates of steak and potatoes in front of homeless people. There are a lot who are genuinely starving. You get some people who have hungry kids. It's nice to give them the hopes of eating a hearty meal. It makes you feel good about yourself, doing something like that."

Pay for pr0n? Since when?

But I see your point. However, I'm not claiming that watching/buying pr0n makes me powerful. They are claiming that making money off doing pr0n (or stripping) makes them powerful.
