My point is that Palin is meeting a couple of leaders and the media make it out to be this big deal. They won't STFU about it in fact.

No. They should sign the check if it is necessary, but should grow a pair and put some teeth in it.

here are my ideas:

1) If you sell your sour mortgages to the fed, every nickel of profit your company makes will used to buy them back over time. This is a loan. you must repay it.

2) Receive a portion of the company stock in proportion to the debt they buy. Start by yanking stock options.

3) CEO pay will be reduced to the same salary as a US congressmen. Since the congress is essentially keeping the company solvent, which is the job of the CEO, he should not be paid one cent more.

4) Create a compensation commission made up of members of congress to approve or veto any raise or bonus to any employee of the company selling their debt.

5) The congress will have seat on the board of directors in proportion to the amount of debt we buy from them.

Basically, the companies are not solvent, so the American people have to step in and make them solvent. They have shown they will blow their own money, what will they do with ours?

So, since they need the American people to save them from their own mismanagement, the American people should have a say in said management until it becomes solvent again.

But it's sexist of CB or the Huffington Post to say it's insulting to women- they are implying that Palin represents women. She doesn't. Any non-conformist, non-idiot male or female will tell you that she doesn't. If (and hopefully when) Palin fails, it won't be because she's a female- it's cause she's not ready for the job, especially compared to all the other people in the ring. I would love to see a female Prez, and I'm getting excited about finally having a minority one, (I think it will do wonders for the lingering racial tension if he does well), but I also don't want to see an idiot female in their either. The press should give McCain what he wants. A complete and total blackout in coverage. The only way that McCain/Palin appears in print or on TV is through paid advertisement. Now try to get their message out. McCain and the RNC should be reminded that they need the press just as much as the press needs them. The past seven years, the press has been threatened with a loss of access if they get too pushy, or ask too many uncomfortable questions. But access is a two way street when the administration (or a candidate) is trying to gain support for a pet policy. Shut 'em down. If they want to promote a message, they can buy the time/space, just like any other advertiser.
