Should I be scared that McCain's favorite song is "Dancing Queen" ?

2008-09-18 04:42:52 PM
Holy crap, McCain has not one, but TWO ABBA songs on that list. Search no further for evidence this man has terrible judgment.

Good Vibrations, last I checked, was a Beach Boys song.

2008-09-18 04:58:14 PM
Obama: Pretty Fly for a White Guy.

2008-09-18 05:50:50 PM
Dancing Queen? Why on earth would anyone ever admit to liking that farking song? Let alone it being their favorite song?

I'm going to have to lean towards McCain. Anybody who picks "I'm On Fire" out of all of Bruce Springsteen's work does not have the musical taste I expect from the leader of the free world. I do acknowledge the presence of "Gimme Shelter" on Obama's list. It's not enough.

2008-09-18 06:13:17 PM
No It's Raining Men?

HEY ASSHOLE

I liked that song when I was a kid. Still have a soft spot for it.

Obama should really read the lyrics to his #1 Song before listing it.

I was going to point out that that one negates at least one ABBA song from McCain's list. Regardless, I now can't vote for either of these clowns.

If there's no "Purple Rain" on either list, I'm gonna have to vote third party.

Sad thing is that I think McCain only picked Dancing Queen cuz he thought it was young and hip. Probably trying to connect with the younger generation.

FAIL

Does anybody remember a news article about one of the grand daughters of Bush giving Bush a burnt CD for his birthday a few years back?

What happened with the RIAA lawsuit on that?

This was on NPR awhile ago.

I think his pick of dancing queen was a joke.

McCain likes too much Abba. He must be another closet Republican fag.

I don't know what is wrong with you people; I love rubbing my nipples while I am listening to Dancing Queen. Doesn't everyone?

2008-09-18 08:38:47 PM
um, wasn't Howard Dean's favorite song from the Fugees as well? I got a bad feeling about this.

2008-09-18 08:39:07 PM
Number 9:
Obama: "City of Blinding Lights" by U2

Another reason not to vote for him.

Number 6:
Obama: "Touch the Sky" by Kanye West

Obama doesn't care about white people.

Number 3:
McCain: "Take a Chance On Me" by ABBA

Number 1:
McCain: "Dancing Queen" by ABBA

Somebody should tell him that disco is dead.

My 2 cents:

I could easily name my 10 favorite bands/musicians, but naming my top 10 songs would be tough.

2008-09-18 08:40:52 PM
I just got a horrible image in my head of McCain prancing around The Whitehouse to Dancing Queen. The man must be stopped.

2008-09-18 08:42:15 PM
It's the fact a man who can't lift his arms above his waist..Likes Disco. *just something amusing about that.

Number 1:
McCain: "Three minutes of rocks being smashed together, followed by a wolf howling in the distance" by Thog

And this is why I'll never be a major player in politics:

No one would vote for someone whose list has The Sisters of Mercy, Strapping Young Lad, and Alice in Chains on it.

2008-09-18 08:46:25 PM
No man with 10 ABBA songs on his top ten is fit to lead the free world.

Sorry.

Agreed. Also, they didn't put these lists together. Their people did and picked songs according to their constituencies.

I don't think I could resist putting Mindless Self Indulgence's "Panty Shot" on my list.

2008-09-18 08:48:43 PM
Merle Haggard comes in at #4 on McCain's list. So much for "Country First."

Maybe he's courting the gay vote. The San Francisco Gay Men's Chorus version is a crowd pleaser. (new window)

Blasphemy. I kind of expect Cheney's top 10 list to consist entirely of Wagner and Norwegian black metal...
