I see this is turning in to a bacon thread.

Cornwell: After carefully having studied all 19 images in the article, I would have to say that you're wrong.

I could of course email the link to a sixteen year old nephew of mine. Sixteen years olds are capable of seeing nipples nobody but the sternest christian could detect.

I noticed the areola in one of them. Just sayin'.

Bluegill:
Mass production has numbed us to the fact that we treat our livestock horribly.
No matter how you spin it allowing animals to suffer...and suffer...and suffer SUCKS.

No, mass production plus cute cartoon animals has made us lose sight of the fact that life is sometimes brutish, and nasty. Go back a number of years, when their was livestock raised around the corner from everyone's home, and most people would understand that you have to kill a living creature to get some bacon, chicken cacciatore, or a decent steak.

But thats the friggin point. I raise lambs and do my own slaughter. I love meat. I got two moo calfs that are going to be tasty burgers next fall. I pet and feed them every day.

Factory farmed animals are dreaming of the old days you speak, when people had animals and killed them for food.

Google "gestation crates pig" to get an idea. Ever see 10000 chickens go crazy and start eating eachother because they are packed in too tight?

The large scale of farming today is beyond all descriptions of brutish and nasty. It is not supposed to be that way, animals are not supposed to be raised that way. It is ethically WRONG because we do it because we are cheap. Because most people dont want to spend more then a buck for a friggin burger, but shell out $100 for a stupid PS3 game, or $2000 for a flatscreen TV.

Mass produced "Free range" and even "organic" are not guarantees for quality raised animals. The market, and the mass production is the problem.

/Stepping of the ride after too many years eating, literally crap.

Without nipples, tits would be pointless.

CarrieWhite: I was shopping for lingerie recently and noticed that all the body stockings from the USA had the model's nipple's airbrushed out.

WTF is the big deal? We all have them!

I noticed that when I was thirteen and looking through catalogs... for um... my... uh... girlfriend... yeah...

God Is My Co-Pirate:

I have a lot of respect for people who care where their food comes from, and from people who care about animal welfare. That's why I support the Humane Society instead of the lunatic fringe - PETA.

/I miss my dog.

The Humane Society of America does great work, but they rarely bring to the light of mainstream media the horrors of stockyard and furrier abuse. PETA does is not beyond using in-your-face tactics in doing so.

PETA is there to get attention. You're here (and there was no boobies tag) so it must be working. Everytime PETA is mentioned people bristle and take note.

Depending upon whom you ask and how the use of inputs are analyzed, it takes 435 gal-12,000 gal of water to produce a pound of beef. A lot of reports on the topic report 2,500-5,000 gal./lb.

The American shower is usu. estimated in the neighborhood of 25 gal ea. Therefore PETA is, surprisingly, only on the high end of the mainstream estimates.

So if we didn't eat that pound of beef then all that water was wasted.

2008-09-09 07:56:03 PM
How much water is wasted if you put a cow in a shower?

2008-09-09 07:58:09 PM
GIS for "cow in a shower" isn't pleasant.

Me too.

2008-09-09 07:59:53 PM

What's worse is that the picture says "proof only". Proof only of what? That you shouldn't put a cow in a shower?

Bluegill: Ricksha Shiksa: PETA is and will continue to be necessary until those of us in allegedly 'civilized' nations wake up to the horrors of corporate farming. I support PETA's guerilla advertising tactics.

Now a days it comes in little cubes in plastic wrapped trays, and no concept of what it once was. So when snowflake grows up enough to "understand" that the food he eats was once a Bambi, a Kermit, an Elsie, or a Babe, he just goes off the deep-end.

Oh, and there's the bonus of all the attention whoring, and smug self satisfaction.

/Eat or don't eat whatever you want, just shut the fark up about what I eat, mkay?
//I do agree that corporate farming makes for shiatty food.
///Free range tastes so much better.

That's the point, pal. The once fatted calf held in the family shed for slaughter experienced a quick death usually at the hands of those who raised it. Killing is not the issue.

The issue that arises between birth and dinner plate is that we now have hogs living in such close quarters that the males must be castrated young so that they don't rip off each others testicles when fighting. Chickens that have to be debeaked so that they won't peck one another to death. Ever wonder how the price of poultry got so low? Oh, and lets not even go into the dragging of 'downed cows' to slaughter...and the illustrious results thereof.

/wasn't raised in a farking disney film.

Dr.Zom: I knew it was PETA without reading the article. Here's a question - since PETA is always using naked women to sell their ideas, how come no one ever calls them sexist? If Budweiser relied on naked chicks as much as PETA does there would be an outcry.

/outcry

Actually, feminists have complained about it a whole bunch of times

They're protesting eating meat. I wonder how they feel about sucking meat.

2008-09-09 08:30:56 PM
If we keep harming animals, will the keep showering in public?

2008-09-09 08:33:53 PM
"ever seen a raccoon skinned alive and sitting up after its had its skin removed?"

Thats pure unadulterated BS. Learn some biology, no animal can survive the process, so it didn't happen. I'm against animal cruelty also, but don't pull these bogus horror stories out of your ass.

2008-09-09 08:36:43 PM
Oh_Enough_Already: If they wanted people to give up eating meat, I mean if it was really, truly important to them, if they really wanted to change the world they'd offer themselves up as substitutes.

Not to gut, cook and consume but to eat in other ways.

I'm a hard core, apex predator carnivore but I'd seriously consider becoming a vegitarian if - every time I had a hankering for some meat - I could just snap my fingers and be given some 18 year old human version of veal to dine on instead.

I'll contact PETA with this idea.

I think your on to something. If every time, I had a hankering for some BBQ, or steak, some cute little college chick came by, and told me that eating meat was mean to bunnies, gave me a blow job, and an order of malai kofta, I might just forget about filet mingon, pastrami, lobster tails, and rabbit stew.

/Damn, now I'm hungry.

That is most definitely NOT a nipple. Odd tan line, maybe.
Nipples are on the center of the boob, not the armpit area.

No need, I agree with the mutilating animals that wallow in their own shiat is awful. Not to mention the tidal wave of crap when the manure swamp overflows.

This is why I like the idea of eating homegrown(raised), and locally grown(raised), etc.

I'm looking forward to the day that I have room to raise my own rabbits, goats, chickens, gun birds and cattle alongside the garden and orchard.

/Hmm, I can be millionaire now, pleez?

After seeing picture 18, I fully appreciate the work PETA do.

On the other hand, I don't really understand the specifics of this protest...processing meat uses water. Water....then just disappears? No water cycle? Was I lied to in Jr High Earth/Space Science? If there is, in fact, going to be a water shortage due to the processing of meat, shouldn't more attractive college chicks do their part by showering in groups in public?

/is it a violation of vegan principles to want to eat these protestors?

I'd eat their meat. Thanks to them I will be beating my meat tonight, while imagining myself eating a juicy steak off their lap.

to all PETA supporters..

the food chain is cruel, but were on top so live it up.

/ask the elk taken down by the lions
//the deer eaten alive by the wolves
///the seals being toyed with and battered by the orcas
////the monkeys bashed and smashed by apes (oh yes!)

you do your part and not eat meat, but shut up about it.
you can keep up the boobie work though.

Regarding protest groups, PETA does have the best looking idiots. So, they've got that going for them.
