This young man decided that he wanted to get out of porn & make an honest living, so he's working at Subway. He could potentially make more doing porn, but he didn't want to do that anymore. So now some jerk customer comes in, recognizes him from a gay porn (which said customer has probably seen at least 3-4 times if he can recognize said employee almost immediately), & demands he be fired. At the places I've worked at & visited, that customer would have been drummed out of the store & told never to return. Sheesh, it's not like he was trying to sell autographed copies of his porn with every footlong or anything.

Well, I probably wouldn't personally fire a person for that, but I don't know all the subtleties that come with owning a Subway franchise either. I'm not surprised to hear that it happened, though. Many of the Subways 'round here are run by 1st-gen immigrants from countries whose cultures are not particularly tolerant of homosexuality OR pornography.

But again, being aware of the world I live in, and not the world I would like it to be--if I were deciding to embark on a career that involved gay porn--I may take the time to consider how that decision may impact my ability to gain future employment, and act accordingly...

To the people saying "he deserves to be fired" from his minimum-wage sandwich artist job, would you feel the same way if it were, say, a convicted felon (let's just say, for the sake of argument, and armed bank robber) who has done his time and gotten out of prison, and is now on the up-and-up, working in subway. Some customer recognises him as the armed robber from 20 years ago, and tells the manager they want him fired. You'd be OK with that, right?
