As an added bonus, this exhaustive "investigation" did not interview Mayor Calvo or his mother-in-law, the people home at the time.

Pathetic.

I'm trying to decide whether this reminds me more of South Park or the Chappelle Show. "It's coming right for us!" or "His wife put her titty in my hand. It was weird."

Damn they sheriff's office. Damn they to hell.

In all fairness, the cop might have been shooting at a fleeing Jesus.

This is where a basic knowledge of dog breeds would be helpful.

They were black labs. They'll bark at you right up until they jump on you and...lick your face.

2008-09-05 11:59:06 AM
Yes but the dog was fleeing in an aggressive way so I shot it!

2008-09-05 11:59:07 AM
Some cops will shoot dogs that pose no threat to them all, just for fun, because they secretly wish they could do that to people and get away with it.

Internal investigation.

HAHA!

Why even bother with "internal investigations"? You can't expect people or organizations to do the right thing and fess up to their wrongdoings.

Somehow I don't think they thought that name all the way through....

Here's what I don't get.

They knew the package had drugs. They knew who's house it was.

Couldn't they have just knocked and arrested him? Or waited for him to bring the package in then knocked?

Why the major swat style entrance? There was no risk of him flushing the evidence, it was 32 FREAKIN POUNDS of pot.

Cops really seem to get off on para military raids way too much.

2008-09-05 12:01:41 PM
Fark these mother-farkers! They knew about this scheme and still they go to people's houses and arrest them. I wonder how many people are in jail because they are not the mayor.

2008-09-05 12:02:15 PM
The pic from the article is kinda telling. The mayor has the dogs in muzzles. Not really what you expect from labs unless they are aggressive. Maybe they actually were.

I've never really had a bad run-in with the police. In fact most of the ones I have met have been very friendly and courteous.

But stories like these just plant "farking pigs" in my mind. Nothing like the blue shield to make sure these brave men don't get in trouble for shooting fleeing animals.

OK, I'll be sure to remember that.

I was thinking the same thing. Is there any breed of dog on Earth LESS likely to bite you than a lab? Seriously.

Maybe it was a dangerous pit-lab ?

When I think of the pigs who shot those 2 dogs I think of this video and get a wistful look on my face.....in a perfect world we could do it.

That was awesome!! Those guys were lucky to get out alive.

Oh Christ. Of course, those aren't muzzles, they're HALTIES, dumbass. It's just a harness for walking the dog, like a bridle on a horse.

It was Prince Georges County, they are lucky only the dogs got shot. That is one f*cked up county, ask anyone who lives in the DC area. There are numerous cases of police killing unarmed innocent people there.

I will never understand why some people get so attached to animals.

They were just dogs.

Those aren't muzzles, they are leashes that train the dog to walk next to you and not get ahead.

Those are gentle leads. It's not covering the mouth or anything - just helps dogs not pull, when taking them on walks.

That's not a muzzle, it's called a Gentle Leader. It's a leash that hooks around the head and not the neck, useful for big, playful dogs that don't like to walk in a straight line (like my lab). They still have full range to open their mouths, it's just easier to keep control by the head instead of pulling on the neck.

cops are heroes. this is just one example of why.

/cops. truly heroic.
