Doofus It's a blog that anyone can post to. Sounds like a cool idea, but it's really just a giant worthless mesage board...

Like anybody actually gives a fark about your stupid blog...

Oh yeah- should be: [image from too old to be available][image from too old to be available]

If you say so.

First off, people don't post their own blogs its against the rules, second if you're interested in something a bit more serious than fark give it a try.

Talking about your day at work is serious?
2001-08-26 03:25:17 AM
Do you bother to visit the sites you biatch about or are you just a curmudgeon in general? I'd like to see you point out a posted article at metafilter about "your day at work." If its all about that then you should have no trouble pulling out 20 or so links from MeFi like that.

I'm not asking you to like it, but if you can't come up with a real reason why you don't then you just aren't convincing.

I got laid off. Ironic, ain't it?
posted by fooljay at 4:11 PM PST on August 20

I got laid off a couple of days before MeFi went away, then started a new job a couple of days before it came back. Obviously, my employment depends on MeFi in some weird cosmic way.

In honor of Mefi's break, I continued to do no work
...during the endless staff meetings that I have to sit through.
...Continued to look for a job in the DC/MD/VA area as every tech company seems to be laying off people.

....I'm with fooljay -- laid off.

1.) lost my job
2.) applied for more jobs

I got a new job - a webdev for no less. Nice not to be laid off anymore. Now I get to see the beast that is Amazon from the inside.

I have to say though, that the first few unproductive days at a new job really scream for quality content to read

All I'll need on my return is a job to fuel my MeFi habit

I stayed laid off. Laid off, with no metafilter?
Can anyone get me a freaking job? NT/Exchange adminning would be nice but I'm more flexible than I realized at first. McDonald's hamburger grill adminning is looking distinctly possible.

Christ that's enough, SKallas. I hate that farkking site- that's all I'm going to read. All whining about their jobs or lack thereof. The site sucks.

Thanks for not asking me to like it. I'm not asking you to hate it.

I'm just expressing the feeling that Metafilter blows ass-air.
