everything in the video IMPLIES it.

nothing in the video PROVES it. that's his specialty.

IndyGemini: He raises a good point. There is nothing within that context which implies he's referring to Obama, his wife, OR McCain. What he said is something you are likely to hear in any political science class or at any interesting conversation about politics.

If a Democrat is even perceived to go off message, they are eaten by their own. How droll.

He raises NO point. He said that it's okay to vote for someone you disgree with if you think they'll be effective at a slim number of things you approve of - completely ignoring that they'll probably also be effective about a bunch of things you don't approve of. It was rationalization and poorly done, and I'm not surprised he had to be drunk to say it.

Oh, and you never answered my previous comment to you. Nothing to say?

GoodasGold: Not one word about the evil of McCain, Cheney, or Bush, the police state, the depression, or the wars, And the next two nights are all Clinton, the bitter killer-couple who still can't believe they lost to the better man."

Pundits at Lew Rockwell's site spend plenty of column space chewing on various Republicans. I'm sure you'll have plenty to sate your hunger for Republican blood when their convention starts next week.

So have we yet given our predictions for Hillary's speech? Do we predict a sneering, narcissistic lovevest with jabs at Barack? A tepid spiel? Or a fullthroated defense of Barack and teardown of John McC?

They should have both of the convention at the same time and let the TV ratings decide the elections.

His point is that someone like me shouldn't vote for Ron Paul or Bob Barr when McCain is the strongest candidate. Likewise, he's saying someone like you (generally) shouldn't vote for Cynthia McKinney or Ralph Nader when BO is the candidate. At least, that's how I interpreted it. What he said could have been informed by what happened in 2000 when Gore lost because of all the Green voters going for Nader. Not only did those voters not get their first choice, they lost out on what would be presumably their second choice as well.

As for your previous comment, you implied that radio talk show hosts regularly call for violence against other Americans, and I didn't find it a credible enough claim to reply to.

Dunno. He was supposed to run in 2008. I think he may have personal stuff which prevents him from going for the Presidency. Otherwise, why isn't he VP right now?
