I would love to have a device that generates electricity like that. Because, the electric company legally HAS to buy any surplus that you generate. How awesome is that?

When it comes to energy sources, is it surprising to you that the words gas and wind relate to farts?

It's called Sheboygan. It could be a perfectly normal story that occurs multiple times a year in any other town and it would still be a strange ass story just for using the word Sheboygan.

Yeah but unless you got it for free it would sure take a long time to stick it to the man.

You know, the secret to theft is being so big and bold nobody suspects a thing.

If somebody sees you climb into a house through a window at 10pm all dressed in black, they're going to call the police. But you show up at 10am with a housemoving truck while someone's out of town, fifty people will gather to watch you take the whole thing away without a second thought.

But yeah from TFA, I bet the guy reported it stolen but when the police checked into it, they found out he never paid for it. The phrase "located ... an individual who claimed to have a right to it" but didn't disclose the party or any attempt at arrest, is pretty obvious.

But only if you bring a clip-board. You can get away with anything so long as you're carrying a clip-board.

Same thing with janitors. You wear a janitorial uniform and push a cart or barrel, and you can walk off with ANYTHING. People will even hold the door for you as you do.

I grew up in Plymouth, 10 miles from Sheboygan. No one ever believes me when I tell stories of the people from the area. In Plymouth, there is a Big Strong black dude (as far as I know, the only black dude in Plymouth. I haven't visited in awhile) who would walk up and down the street wearing wrestling garb. Olympic style, not Pro-wrasslin. Heres a video:

The flag project has been scrapped. After that many failed attempts it was just making Acuity look bad.

The two Sheboygan-related strange things that come most readily to me are "The Creature that Ate Sheboygan," and the fact that the cataclysmic asteroid in the pnp role playing gamie Paranoia was "roughly the size of Sheboygan."

"Removing the wind turbine would have been no small task: The 120-foot galvanized steel base weighs in at 8,200 pounds, and the three approximately 15-foot fiberglass and Kevlar blades and hub tack on another 2,500 pounds, according to the manufacturer's Web site."

Would fit in the average American pickup truck then...

Yeah and my nephew has been involved with 2 of them. He was the responding deputy to the decapitated deer statue and he shot the emu.

Malbar, I'm from near there (Plymouth) and the town is pretty weird, despite the name.

They changed the link article since I first read it before I posted.

That's not an easy thing to steal, which is the way the original article presented it.

I highly doubt they dragged it. I suspect they used a truck and either took it apart into two pieces, or got a permit for an extra long load.
