And is illegal in Canada since it can't go over 30 MPH.
And why does the pic not have a male officer, with a big sad face and a even more shriveled up manhood.

We have a bunch of these in the air force, they are very handy for puttering around base from one spot to another. They have 4 seaters, truck versions, the works. It sure as fark beats marching and you never have to fill up for gas, all you need to is plug it in at the end of the shift and its ready to go in the morning.

Green vehicles are never going to catch on if they insist on making them underpowered ridiculous-looking pieces of crap.

It's endemic to the environmental movement. They want everyone to dial back so our use of resources doesn't damage the environment. Well, most couple could give a rat's ass, they want what they've got now, or better. Make green better than the alternative, and you won't have to try, and fail, to convince people to switch.

2008-07-26 02:22:20 PM
These are all over the US, they're legal on public roads with a speed limit up to 35 in most states.

2008-07-26 02:25:01 PM
Environmental merits and practical uses nonwithstanding, I can remember when these were the big "CAR" prize on that rather cheap revival of Press Your Luck a few years ago, and how not seriously they weren't taken even then, in like, 2002ish...

/probably about as fun as winning an "Amphibious Vehicle" on The Price is Right...

Most couples are stupid, also. most family units dont know where Iraq is on a map, let alone how the environment works. most couples cant think beyond soccer pratice for the little idiot offspring.

I would take one in a second, I could run my Property management business all day long for 2 bucks worth of electric in that thing instead of 12 bucks worth of gas in my truck.....you can get one with a flat bed for hauling, that would be perfect.

2008-07-26 02:32:16 PM
I work in Brighton, and a fleet of these milk floats will only cause them to take longer to respond when we catch a shoplifter. This is dangerous, the longer you keep them, the more likely they are to try and break away, anyway they can.

Also, I have never seen any police women anywhere near as attractive as that!

They make them, a truck version is available. Actually its not that bad and quite capable of puling a bit of weight, used to hall scrap parts from the shop to the dump across base all the time, like water pumps for P23's and stuff (A large fire truck)

That's exactly the point.

Smart people can realize the advantages to minimizing their impact. But the majority aren't smart. If you want the movement to stop being niche and become mainstream, it has to become immediately advantageous to everyone, not potentially advantageous in the future.

Targeting the intelligent will fail in the long term, because we're not the problem.

yes but insted of conforming to the flawed norm, why not start an education campaign and add movmement to change the opinions of the average idiot family unit? Make it a TREND to like good stuff and these people will eat it up and conform instantly.

OK- I just kinda scanned the article but saw something in their about being able to run exclusively on solar power. How the hell's that gonna work in the UK?

/Only been there once. Rainy as hell in Croydon. From the time the Triple 7 dropped below the clouds to the time the 320 got back above them, I literally never saw the sun. I still loved it.

Dammit, if only I'd taken a pic of the Police Smart I saw yesterday. Made this thing look butch.

this car is the first 100 per cent electric vehicle to be used by a British police force.

Allow me to demonstrate the unbeatable accuracy of the Daily Mail, by reference to the Daily Mail.

Actually, most families who have soccer practices for their rugrats are led by adults who have jobs in the city in an office where the daily news and events are discussed every day.

The uninformed people are the ones who get a check every month from the government and spend the next 29 days trying to figure out where else they can get money from for cigs and beer.

You can add college students to the ranks of the uninformed since they get most of their information from jon stewart and fellow students.

You can also add actors, artists, musicians, etc to the ranks of the uninformed as they receive most of their topical news from their own communities and sycophants.

The mistake you are making is that you are confusing ignorance with neccesity. People lead complex and difficult lives no matter what their income. A typical suburban family doesnt buy a huge SUV because they want to destroy the planet, they buy it because its on sale, is as big as a van, has better interior options than a van, and looks better than a van. Its not neccesarily their fault that it is bad for the environment. If you want a list of things that determine the cost vs efficiency of a US made vehicle, two of the primary expenses will be government mandated regulations and legacy costs related to union contracts.

If you want a cheap fuel efficient people pusher, you have to follow the Indian Route and make dangerous plastic cars that are built by minimum wage labor in third world factories.

EVERYTHING about liberalism is expensive and destructive to human life if you follow it from conception of the idea through to effect on the population.

4+ more months until Ashes to Ashes returns

As for the car while not the prettiest thing, it will get the job done since all it is a step between the bicycle cops and regular car cops.

The fact is that it takes the regular cars off the road that will do nothing but idle and pollute, and there are very few highspeed chases downtown

Except for..

the majority of familys have 2 kids, a sedan can hold 2 kids and plenty of groceries in the trunk. they get the mibatsu monstrocity for the farking TV in the back that entertains the little future mouth breathers and so they dont have to take the kids to a park and play, they can use the entire SUV for a jungle gym.

its not nessessity at all, its exessive demand of more needless options.
