Calvin Coolidge: Glenn Beck makes me want to kick puppies.

fotojenic: I stopped reading when I discovered he was a guest on Glenn Beck's show... Yeah, I didn't have to read very far into it since it's at the top and then there's that lovely still of the two douchebags over on the right...

Farking Glenn Beck... Can anyone stand to watch more than a few seconds of that show? I'll be flipping channels and stop on HLN for a brief moment only to see Glenn Beck, at which time I frantically start pressing buttons, any buttons, to rid the screen of that face.

*shudders*

I Said: Calvin Coolidge: Glenn Beck makes me want to kick puppies.

smarmy.

Every time I see that douches face that's the only word I can think of. Smarmy. And I don't know of anyone else that I can label with that word. Smarmy.

You are all correct, but don't take it out on the puppies. Instead, take it out on Glenn himself. (pops) I used the word smarmy multiple times too, there's just something about the guy that pops that word into my head.

Also, regarding Stein, I won free passes to the Canadian premiere of his sh*tty movie, and afterwards the executive producers evaded questions from the audience. (Overheard) "As a Jew, I'm offended by this movie!" "As a GERMAN I'm offended!" The guy was very Scott McClellan-like, both in appearance and in the way he refused to answer an honest question, choosing instead to skirt whatever was being asked and try to be cute about it. Very frustrating, although I did say directly to his face that he "makes Michael Moore look like an utter professional."

They could have atleast gone for stalin and how no one will stop clapping for obama (don't know if thats true but who cares) just like Stalin when he entered a room/gave a speech

Yeah, but he does have power over the most powerful army in the universe: The army of God, legions of Heaven. With zero experience as a general. So there.

I think Ben Stein's family needs to take him for a neurological exam, he has to be suffering from some type of diminished capacity at this point. Sad, too, because "Win Ben Stein's Money" was freaking hilarious (until Kimmel left the show).

Corvus: Man the Republicans really have gone off the deep end.

At least they used to sort of hide their hate under euphemisms. That all seems to have gone now.

Why is this a Republican thing? What Stein said was totally retarded. But at the same time, being Jewish does give him some lattitude in the Godwining category.

I am leaning toward McCain simply because I don't think Obama has the experience. I think Obama at times has the "I cannot believe I beat Hillary, this was supposed to be a practice run" look going down.

Mearen: Attack the messenger not the message. Way to go guys.

Do any of the Obama supporters think raising taxes is going to help our economy or make it worse. Don't you think you already pay enough taxes?

Better question, does Obama actually stand for anything or is he just another political mouth piece that says whatever people want to hear.

Whatever the case, I don't think the media should be electing our next president.

1) I think we're attacking both the message AND the messenger. The message was ridiculous and the messenger is smart enough to know better.

2) Nowhere in your rant against Obama did you mention the Hitler angle. How about actually responding the content of the article -- you know, THE MESSAGE you mention.

Idiot.

hubiestubert: Diogenes: Iwouldhitit: I can't keep it straight--is Obama a secret Muslim terrorist, a radical afro-centric Christian, an expropriating and bloodthirsty communist, a cult of personality fascist, or an effete chardonnay-sipping elitist?

I seem to have not adequately suppressed my cognitive dissonance so I really need my reasons for hating him to be non-contradictory.

Think of it as the metal equivalent of suppressing a gag reflex.

The elitist is always fun, considering our own private school attending, Yale and Harvard graduate in the White House now, who's seen by some as some kind of "good ol' boy" because he tanked businesses into the ground once he got on his own.

Apparently, success and preserverence are suspect.

Ben Stein is a smart fella. He long ago stepped off the crazy train--the Nixon years notwithstanding. His support of the ID movement, and his horrible film, and now this, it only shows him to be just losing a grip of what reality looks like.

GOP pundits are spinning right now. They were primed and set to take on Hillary, and now that she's stepped back, they are faced with a Senator who is popular, who is articulate, and who doesn't have the kind of baggage that they can really latch onto.

So, it's got to be done in spin. They've got to try to skew things in terms that they hope will scare the bejeebus out of folks--and right now, they're faced with a candidate who is much more articulate than their own, with a much better team to handle his events and organized in ways that they've not seen in years--because there's a candidate who actually energizes his base, as opposed to droning on.

Kerry, sadly, was thoughtful. He took far too long to get up to his point, because he actually thought about what he said. Great quality in a Senator, not so great for a Presidential candidate.

This being said, the GOP is scared witless of this candidate, and as a Conservative, I'm glad. I'm hoping that it will shake some of the bastiches out of the trees, and real Conservatives can take back the party, as opposed to the Rah Rah Boyz who think that politics is a winnable game, as opposed to ways of solving problems, and dealing with the consequences. Thoughtful men and women who are looking at the long term, and who aren't so concerned with "winning" as the principles that this country was based on, and the people that they serve.

Won't happen. All those conservatives are often called "RHINOS" for daring to not buy into every party line or having "radical libertarian" small government beliefs.

/yeah, I'm getting to be a bitter ex-republican especially as I've gotten more attention from them now that Im an independent voter.
