Whats really scary is that there wasn't any drugs or anything else involved. He just had some money hidden. Don't you think we've erased all civil liberties when you can't carry money around without reporting it to the government?

why did they arrest the truck driver? he probably didnt even know the money was there. and why is it illegal to carry 490 grand hidden inside pallets of diapers?

Errr yea, there is not legitimate reason to be carry that much cash around.

Maybe he was taking his life savings to buy a house.

I agree it's suspicious, but there's no legitimate reason for the government to arrest the driver or confiscate his cash without evidence that the money is directly related to a crime.
