Makes sense to me. Had a buddy who was an accountant in Iraq. Figured how to claim for everything that you could claim and walked out w/ a check for 10K from the government.

McCain is like Bush's slightly more coherent long-lost brother.

he doesn't make me laugh as much though. :c

He helped write the law, he should know how to bend it.

10k? that's the government price for a bolt or a roll of toilet paper. He should have been able to walk away with a check for 100million.

#1 Daily Kos?

#2 If you're dumb enough to believe McCain is the only politician to find the magic loophole you're probably the mushy-headed type of person that reads Daily Kos.

A Kos writer referring to campaign finance law as a secret means to shanghai an election from the rightful heir to the Presidential throne?

It's more likely than you think...

Of course, this is a recently discovered loophole that the DNC and RNC and other organizations haven't been fully utilizing for years.

If only there was some sponsor of a campaign financing law he could have turned to it might have saved him some time.

2008-07-16 07:17:47 PM
1) McCain is a welfare queen who thanks to his rich friends doesn't need public financing, but is taking it anyway. Obama? He's going to win this election without welfare money.

Conservatives: welfare is evil (unless it's for us!)

2) McCain is violating his pledge.

If you don't think every possible loophole in McCain Fiengold has been exploited to the fullest for years and years, by both sides, you're an idiot.

This is what I was gonna say.I'm sure the DNC is raking in money also, but was that included in the article?

Doesn't matter. Obama may be weak in the experience department, but I doubt if McCain gets in, only because I think enough voters do not want four more years of Bush. I believe that's party what ruined Gore's chances. Clinton farked up the presidency so much (but not the country), that the possibility that Gore would give us another soap opera was too much.

Plus him losing his own home state, and Arkansas.
