robbiedo: Who the hell does something like this? It is just so impossible to mentally make this click. I remember when I found a stray cat with kittens. I took responsibility to find homes for most of them. The few I couldn't find homes, I took to the pound which made me a complete nervous wreck. Paid to have the mama cat fixed, and gave to my now deceased mother. Was tempted to put cat in here tomb, like the Egyptians.

Believe it or not, some crazy people in this world don't anthropomorphise animals, and actually consider their fellow human beings to be be much more important than cats.

Umm... baby in microwave is not a joke. Happened in Galveston a year or two ago. I think the dad got 25 years. I'd hoped he would receive a lethal dose of radiation.

I wish we could find a happy medium between crazy lunatics who do shiat like this to animals and crazy Farkers who plaster baby talk onto pictures of their animals and post them on the internet.

Solty Dog: Hurting children or (non food) animals. That's a tire iron to the head.

At the very least. People who get off on torturing children or animals like this don't deserve to live in free society. Makes my skin crawl to look at the photo of the poor little guy.

I don't think cats are more important than humans. I do think that putting any living thing in a microwave is completely abhorrent.

I wasn't suggesting that someone who puts cats in microwaves is a friend to man.

I just don't get how people can shrug off or joke about stories that detail people's inhumanity to other people, but get all bent out of shape when a cat is involved.

No kidding. Just take the extra time to broil it, bake it, or fry it. It always tastes better than the microwave version.

oregoncat: This is totally disgusting. Everyone knows cats taste much better barbecued...

the recipe i've seen -- on Fark, i believe -- calls for the cat to be covered in clay before it goes into an oven

once the cat is done the clay is cracked and all the hard to digest cat hair comes off with the broken pieces

2008-07-15 06:15:16 PM
I'm not someone who think that a cat's or dog's life is equal to human's, but whoever did that needs to suffer.

My wife suggested putting the culprit is a large microwave oven, but I'm much more practical; chain him in front of a large microwave transmitter dish antenna. Crank it up to 11.

Animals don't have the intelligence to recognize that a microwave is a dangerous place to be and kittens don't have the ability to fend for themselves.

Pretentious cyclists who think they own the world since their mode of transportation is carbon neutral and can therefore suspend the reality of traffic law and substitute their own deserve what they get.

Microwaving a cat is disgusting.

It'll just get all soggy.

What you gotta do is bake them for an hour at 300F and then turn on the broiler for 15 minutes.

Dude, calm the fark down.

People with your types of reactions to people who impulsively wish harm on people who torture living things should...you see how this can go on?

I have no intention of dismembering somebody, or leaving them out in front of a Burger King. (Think of the mental harm I'd be doing to dozens of children!)

Kind of like when you, as I'm sure has happened, in the past have said semi-violent wishful thoughts (or at least thought them) about murderers, child molesters, et cetera, I was simply venting my feelings in an appropriate forum.

However, since you seem to know me enough to call me an idiot, by all means, continue.

True, random violent shiat happens here (see drive/bike by shooting at the Stonybrook basketball court), but you can't blame this one on JP. Kitten was dropped off at the MSPCA, wasn't cooked in JP.

...and no matter how many times we tell our kittens to stop playing around in microwaves...there's always one, there's always one.

So it's ok to hurt people or animals when they inconvenience you?

I spent 10 minutes this morning cleaning up cat puke from the carpet. I missed my bus. Does this mean I get to cause grevious harm to "Fluffy"?

Leave it (the puke). It'll be there when you return, and probably be easier to clean up.

I figured you were saying that people who microwave cats consider their fellow man important... which I doubt.

It's the internet. There's no room for ambiguity!

Similarly, I don't understand "I love my cat but I'll kick your dog." That's just as weird. I did not realize we were taking sides in this. It's just as pathological - I wouldn't trust my cat to a dog-kicker either.
