Well, stones sink to the bottom, and since global warming will provide quite an overabundance of water, then one can sink their kidney stones all the way down. All is OK. We can stop worrying.

Everyone has to stop driving cars and start drinking more water. Got it?

Or suffer kidney stones on government health care.

Hmmm...let me take a guess here; you drink a lot of "energy" beverages as well too. (nothing to do with CT)

Just guessing.

"Counteracting the effects of temperature may be as simple as having people drink more water. But doctors said getting an entire region of the country to change drinking habits could prove difficult."

Getting a large group of people to drink more water is more difficult a task than reversing global warming?

CO2+ H2O ->H2CO3

H2CO3+ Rocks = Dissolved rocks (usually) that get into you water and give you kidney stones.

Bonus: Dissolved carbonate rocks (limestone e.g.) release more CO2 which is now available to react with H2O and speed the cycle up.

I'm sure gloabl warming will cause everyone to forget to drink liquids. We need a doomsday device.

Serious lack of members of the Religion of Scientific Intolerance (promoters of Global Cooling/Warming/Climate Change).

Maybe this is too out there for even some of them, or they're too busy constructing an argument for California wildfires.

What? Now global warming is an invention from Bush's scientists? Wasn't it Gore's before? Or libtards? Or eco-religious propaganda?

Wait, someone is proposing government health care? That's odd since the only proposals from presidential candidates I've heard are concerning health insurance.

Kidney stones suck Bea Arthur's dick. I have had them a bunch beginning at age 19. My advice to you newbies - try avoiding dark pop ie. cola, which contains calcium oxalate. I have hardly had a problem since I stopped drinking Coke. Also - drink lots of water, especially if you are sweating a lot (from, you know, climate change).

How about the scientists i work with every day that say it is anthropogenic, and who are in the vast majority.

I think kidney stones are the state mineral of Arizona.

Between water so hard you can practically stand on it and sweating out all of the actual h20 from that hard water in three solid months of 100+ temperatures, they're as common as the flu here.

2008-07-14 08:47:05 PM
Having had my first kidney stone experience just three weeks ago, I am getting a kick out of these replies.

Union Memorial Hospital Emergency room has more than it's fair share of young hawtness for nurses.

Global Warming has saved my ass more times that I can count...

"Why did you stay up all night drinking with your friends?"
"Global Warming!"

"Why did you leave the toilet seat up?"
"Global Warming!"

"Why did you cheat on me?"
"Global Warming!"

Try it yourself! Everyone else is doing it!
