As much as I love this sketch, it pisses me off because the damn song will be in my head for weeks now.

Thanks, awesomemitter.

Anyone remember the KITH sketch where it is some family 2,000 years in the future laughing about how silly we were to believe in "God", but then go into their "celebration/worship" of some guy who got hit by a steamroller in the 80s?

Been looking for it, have no idea the name of the skit, what year, etc, just remember it being funny and poignant.

Awesome subby! I love them, those adorable Canucks.

I actually met Scott Thompson on the street in Istanbul. Cool guy. He was traveling the world after the group broke up.

/Only "celebrity" I ever met.

I've always loved the Dave song. However, I like this one even more:

Always amazed me that SNL got all the love and respect when SCTV/KITH were knocking it out of the park in the 70s and 80s.

Caught the last show of their tour in Toronto a few weeks ago, it was pretty awesome. Plenty of poking-fun at their post-KITH careers (or lack-thereof, for some).

Yeah, that's what I was lamely referring to. I know about Turkey being a "gay mecca". I've got a funny story about a certain bar in Istanbul that I and some work colleagues (we were in town for a conference) attended and the, um, strange things that were occurring on a floor where the elevator was not supposed to stop.

/checked out your profile

That was "Bellini Day." Namesake was Paul Bellini, KITH's towel guy- scroll up for picture.

Fair amount of "in-jokes" in that sketch, no doubt.

Ok. 1 million internet bucks to whoever knows what sketch I'm talking about. It was the first KITH sketch I ever saw, and I was about 12 at the time, so I dont remember it exactly. Two guys are in a diner that theyve been going to for many years. They both ask for their 'usual' meals, one guy gets it and the waitress doesnt know what the other guy's is. He protests; he's been coming to this diner for x many years and she still doesnt know his usual. It turns out his usual is exactly that, the fact that he has no usual. Anyone else remember this one? I've never been able to find clips of it.

I had the pleasure of smelling Bruce McCulloch's shiat as he left the bathroom at the Cafe Mosiac during the Edmonton Fringe Festival several years ago.

/he was kind of a dick too
//that's ok because he made me laugh a lot over the years

I just went through the first two seasons on Netflix, I can't recall that sketch. There was one where two guys were in a diner and one was trying to remember the name of a movie. The clues were obvious, and his buddy kept telling him what movie he was thinking of, but he kept saying "no, no, that's not it." Finally his friend stabbed him with a fork. Or something like that.
