I always thought that Michael Landon was a rather odd looking fellow. Maybe it's just me.

Yeah, I've also thought that too! As though he couldn't exist without the hair. It doesn't grow and it can't be cut, the head and hair existed as is.

The Lorne Green story was better than the rabbit story.

I think he once said that he wanted it long to give him strength, a la Samson.

Old Letterman gag went something like, "Television viewers find what quality most appealing about Michael Landon:"

A. His boyish charm
B. His manly courage
C. His girlish bouffant

The rabbit story is a really old joke, told often by guests on the Tonight Show. I can remember Buddy Hackett telling the same story.

I love Michael Landon and it really upset me when he died. I think it's because he reminds me of my mother, they had the same hair-do, for their whole lives!

I think that was a running gag on Carson, but only because they couldn't get away with telling the aristocrats.

The best part of that video is at 4:25.
"The Cartwright boys weren't homosexual. Thank God Hop Sing was."

The Lorne Greene story was pretty good too.

It's "...or stuff it". A recurring sketch.

Look where his ears are and you'll realize why he hid them. They're freakishly low.

/thought everyone knew that.
