Actually , no. I never thought that, Meryl.

This is going to be the best movie of the year.

No I'm not kidding.

And I'm not even gay.

You're doing a fine job discrediting it yourself. You don't need our help.

Nope. I'm straight and I like Abba too. Seems to me people who can't enjoy silly pop music because it would make them look a little gay aren't all that secure in their sexuality.

She's probably America's greatest actress. I was trying to think of who is in her league in terms of longevity, but remembered that once you are an actress and hit 30 or 40, the roles dry up fast. Hollywood exiles older women from leading roles in mainstream, commercial films.

Hollywood is ageist.

I'm really looking forward to this movie... I've seen the play, and it was a lot of fun. I even plan to see it in the theater, which I rarely do.

And that not the only...oh, nevermind.

That's bullshiat anyway. That's what Lifetime, WE and the Oxygen networks are for.

Yeah, I can't wait to see this. I saw the musical in London and it was a lot of fun. Meryl Streep rocks.

I don't know how people can hate the musical genre. I even watched "Hair" today in German and I hate watching movies in German.

Yes, nothing makes me more excited to see a movie than the thought of Meryl Streep in a spandex suit.

I'd drop a pic of someone projectile vomiting, but I figure you're hungover as well.

I'm regretting ever seeing the trailer a few months ago. So this girl is getting married and wants to invite her father (who wasn't important enough to be found previously and wasn't man enough to try to track down his kid previously). Only trouble -- her mother was such an amazing whore that it can be any of three hunky guys. Let's sing ABBA songs to gloss over whoredom that, as you might expect, had no negative repercussions whatsoever woohoo!

Hmm, I wonder why no American actresses spring to mind when longevity is mentioned. Ok, Gena Rowlands. I take that back. But can you remember when you last saw her in a movie?

Blythe Danner? Not that she's particularly an acting powerhouse, but she's been around a while and is highly GILFy...

I don't know how people can hate the musical genre. I even watched "Hair" today in German and I hate watching movies in German.

People hate musicals because Hollywood hasn't made a good one in decades. The classics are fun. The new ones tend to be boring and focus on street dancers being edgy and mopey and "risking it all" to show "squares" how hip hop dancing and classic ballet can be combined. Honestly? That's the best we can do? Give me 42nd Street, Singing in the Rain, Guys and Dolls, Gold Diggers, Anything Goes, South Pacific or Meet Me in St. Louis over that modern crap.

I think ABBA is kinda catchy.

I LOVE musicals.

"Mamma Mia" sucks hairy goat taint. Seriously. You can like the songs, but stringing them together with some half-assed, retarded plot line basically makes for a staggeringly boring ABBA cover band concert, with a lot of pointless talking between songs. It's not a musical. It's a contrivance.

I saw the show in London and I still mourn for those hours of my life that I'll never get back.

Buy an ABBA's greatest hits album and skip that abortion of a musical/movie.

For what it's worth, I'd probably go see this for Amanda Seyfried. I remember when the lil minx was on CSI or one of those cop shows.

Ahh... one of those "laugh out loud at work and have to come up with a reason why you did it because your coworkers are asking you about it" moments. Great stuff.
